Hello, I was wondering when is the most festive, but least crowded time to go??? I am thinking of planning a trip for 2005 Christmas. What do you think??

Did you say you wanted to be there on Christmas? Or just at Christmas time?

If you want to be there on Christmas, the crowds will be worse than you can ever imagine!

The absolute BEST time to go would be during the first two weeks of December. It feels totally like Christmas, and the crowds are really low,::yes::

We went the first full week in December last year and everything was totally Christmas ready. MVMCP and the candlelight processional were wonderful. All of the countries in world showcase were decorated in the styles of their season. The crowds were just right. We were able to arrive at parades and shows at a reasonable time and get great seats. The weather was cold but I understand that the weather in Orlando at this time of the year is very unpredictable. The only down side was that when I got home I was extremely rushed to get Christmas ready for my own family.

I would like to go to see it decorated for Christmas, but I want to go at the least crowded time.

Absolutely - somewhere during the first two weeks of December!
After that - the crowds get heavier and heavier.

Shhhhhh ......... don't tell too many people ! ;)

we went last year 4th thr 12 or something like that.....and it was perfect....no waits....well the line said 10 minutes but byt the time you walked thru the line and got to the ride itself you were boarding it....I think the jungle cruise was the longest wait 13 minutes to be exact and it said 20....MVMCP is a must I would say....if you want to avoid lines ans still do pretty much everyrhing and save 15 bucks per person....do it....We are going again this year 3rd thru 12th.....I couldnt even imagine going during the summer..

We have been at WDW many times over the Christmas/NY holiday period. I will be fairly quite till Christmas day. The difference between the 24th & 25th is like night and day with everday till the 31th getting busier. I love the crowds and " BUZZ" during that time of the year.
We are DVC members some if we miss something it is not a big deal

are a great time to go! The parks are decorated (they decorate the week before Thanksgiving), the weather is usuall great, you can usually get great rates at the resorts and the crowds are smaller than usual (if they are ever small). And if you are lucky, you might be able to be there when they film the Disney Christmas Parade special.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the first 2 weeks of December. It is absolutely the best time. We've been twice at that time.

In addition to low crowds and beautiful Christmas decorations, there are extra CMs working. On one of our trips a CM told us that WDW hires a lot of extra workers for the Christmas rush and they are working during this time getting everything ready. That means no waits for almost anything!

I wish we could go again this December!:hyper:

::yes:: First 2 weeks of December, but anytime before you are very close to Christmas is good!
