Polling to see which Character M&G are everyone's faves. Our kids (11 DS, 8 DD, 7 DS) have been to disney 2x. On our first trip we spent a bunch of time meeting different characters and went to Chef Mickey. On our 2nd trip we focused more on the rides but still did lunch at Tusker House. We will be at Disney in Dec and I am trying to decide whether to do: another character meal, only hit a couple of in park M&G (but which? Town hall Mickey for example), or to try MVMCP. Love to hear everyone's thoughts!

Tiana and Naveen
Merida
The Tremaines (especially fun with 2 boys)
Peter Pan

Those 4 are my favorite

Gaston is great to watch, and a lot of fun if you have the right personality to interact (I have tried a few times, and I just don't)

If you do MVMCP, the princes are out and they are worth meeting (especially Flynn and Rapunzel). Keep an eye out as it gets closer for the special characters that are out because they are all great (Jack Skellington, Jack Sparrow, etc)

Town Hall Mickey is great if you've never met him there.

Chip and Dale are always fun together.

One of my favorite things to do with characters (mainly face, but some fur get involved) is to tell them you are meeting others, and they will sometimes have you deliver messages (Peter and Gaston don't get along particularly well for example). Or with fur characters talk to them about something in their story line (mention Donald to Chip and Dale, or tell Donald you prefer him to Mickey, etc)

Another vote for Merida. She was just awesome with our DD last summer. Best character interaction we have had to date. Of course, it all depends on who you get.

Our Favorites:
Gaston
Merida
The Tremaines

Flik, Rafiki, and Baloo and King Louie have also been fun!

Peter Pan is the best I've seen. Definitely gets on the kids level.

We had great interactions with Tinkerbelle two years in a row.

We also had a lot of fun with Alice and the Mad Hatter at MNSSHP. (Our family was dressed up as Alice, the Queen, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.)

Town Hall Mickey is definitely worth meeting at least once.

Chip and Dale were awesome with our reluctant son. They took his stroller and popped a (gentle) wheelie with him for a pic. He was still not amused but it's a funny picture.

We got a great Ariel in her grotto who interacted a lot with the girls. YMMV.

We saw Peter Pan in the fall and he was amazing. Of course we also loved Gaston. They both had the best guest interaction and Peter really gets down onto the kids level and spends time with them.

-Tremaines, hands down. They're in the courtyard behind the castle all morning

-Maybe check out Launch Bay with Chewie & Kylo Ren if the kids are fans?

-MVMCP has an array of different characters out, and thats the thing to look for with that, you'll be able to meet the princes, Bert from Mary Poppins, Scrooge McDuck and more rare type characters that are only out for the party. If you do go though there's almost too many things to do in one party, if you were to focus on characters I'd say knock a few out early on, and then do the stage shows, fireworks, and second parade before hitting up one last minute character.

I loved meeting Chewbacca at DHS a few weeks ago. I would highly recommend that M&G if your kids are Star Wars fans at all. My family are only moderate SW fans and it was still one of the highlights of our trip.

Help refresh my memory, please. There is a times guide for each park with
character times and where they will be? Thank you...:flower::thanks:

We just back and met about 30+ characters. The 1900 Park Fare dinner was the BEST character meal for interaction, although we did get lucky enough to have Rapunzel at CRT, which was a wonderful surprise. As far as meet and greets, I'd say Gaston, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan were my favorites. My preschooler loved Jake and Sofia. And my 6 year old got to do a fist bump with Baymax. Anna was also great and Goofy was hilarious.

We love meeting Pluto, Chip and Dale are great too. The Mad Hatter at 1900 Park Fare was fantastic when we saw him. Talking Mickey and Tink are also fun to meet.

You can find the times and locations on the MDE app. You can also find good, detailed character info at kennythepirate.com

This. I nearly cried he was so sweet and fun....and I'm a dude. He was just so excited to see us, and he is sooo realistic. I thought it was unlike anything else. It was one of my top experiences from the whole week of Disney, and I'm including everything we did when I say that.!!

Go DLP for amazing character meets!

If that too far then i find most if not all the characters are great at WDW if you are polite and make an effort with them.

Enjoy.

My dad had on a shirt with Darth Vader, and Chewbacca started yelling while pointing at it and tried to hide behind my mom (who is 5 feet tall). It was hilarious, my husband and I almost fell over.
Another great interaction we had was with Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). It was during Star Wars weekends, and I was traveling with a friend and my husband. Friend and I went and got our photo, then husband goes up alone, without acknowledging that he was with us. Since it was star wars weekends, he had his Yoda back pack. My Husband spent the entire time speaking in the voice of yoda, using the backpack as a puppet. Aurora didn't break character (or act weird-ed out), but instead addressed "Master Yoda" and had a full conversation with a puppet held by a grown man who appeared to be traveling on his own.
