Best character meal for boys?

Hi Everyone,

We arrive on Sunday for 4 days in DL. I have two boys, ages 3 and 4. We have only had the character breakfast at the GC and were hoping to take them to something different this time. Maybe a dinner? Which one would be best? I hear a lot of good things about Goofy's kitchen. Thoughts please? Are there big cost differences?

Thanks!

The prices for brunch are very simular for all of the meals. Dinner is about $10 more per adult at Goofys then brunch, kids are the same price.

My recomendation is Minnie at the Plaza (breakfast). We had the best interaction at that meal- and a lot of characters! Minnie, Hook, Chip and Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and the Fairy Godmother.

My DS is 15. We've been to GK every visit (avg 2/year) since he was 3. It's his favorite largely because he's had some great character memories there over the years. DS won't admit to being into characters these days, but he still wants to include a visit to GK every trip.

GK is more expensive than the others, but I think its worth it. At DL, only GK and Ariel's offer lunch and dinner character meals. Ariel's is a princess meal, so probably not the best bet for boys. It doesn't offer the variety both of characters and food selection that GK offers. We much prefer the food at GK. I also prefer brunch or dinner of breakfast -- in the mornings I want to be in the parks riding rides, not eating a big meal. Late brunch is my favorite time to go to GK - - it's the least hectic. Early dinner is cool too.

I also loved Plaza Inn, but I haven't been for a character meal lately. I used to go when character meals were less popular (before PSs). Now, I've heard, if you get a late seating, the character flow can back up a bit. I also prefer the food at GK, and, as stated before, spending the early hours riding rides when the lines are shortest.

I really think that GK is the best. My kids love it and so do I!! Have never had a bad meal there and the characters interact with each and every table.

Last time I was there Alice named DS (12) "Joey Locket" because he was wearing a coon skin hat - he was so embarrassed - it was great (best memory ever at GK). Alice was the best!!!

Anyway, you can never go wrong with GK.

Enjoy!!!

I can only rate the ones I've been to . . .

Goofy Kitchen for dinner was great. We all liked the food and my kids were able to interact with Goofy, Max, Chip, Dale, Pluto, Minnie, Jasmine and Belle. The characters were in a bit of a hurry, though. Tons of desserts.

Lilo & Stitch at PCH Grill was great, too. Fewer characters, but they were able to spend more time with my kids. We saw Stitch, Lilo, Pluto & Minnie. The food, again, was appealing to both myself and my kids.

From what Linda says, I feel like I need to try Minnie @ the Plaza.

We chose to have our Character breakfast early in the morning before our flight back home. We weren't able to go to the parks that day, so we still got to experience Disney without paying for park admission.

Oh, and I'd suggest making your priority seating arrangements ASAP. We waited until we got there and didn't have much selection as to the times we could get in. I'd suppose you aren't doing the Princess meal, which is good because when I tried to arrange priority seating I was told they were booked for weeks.

Have fun! Whichever character meal you choose I'm sure the boys will love it!
