I've been reading the report on Cat 3's and was wondering
if there was one better then the other.

I read where midship is best, are the cabins aft OK?

Do some have the plexi and some have the steel wall?

I was thinking of upgrading at the port but did not want to pay for and get left with a bad Cat 3 with steel wall on the verandah.

I am in a Cat 4 8588.

Thank you in advance.

My personal fav Cat. 3 is 8532 or 8032. These 2 have the best flow...IMHO.

Didn't care much for 8548...too cramped ...again, IMHO.

all cat 3's are great

much roomier than cat 4's - and then the perks that Concierage level has to offer is just a bonus

I partially agree with Ronnie

rooms 8032, 8034 and 8532, 8534 are the best

but the other cat 3's are not tight at all

the 4 rear cat. 3's are handicapped ones, very roomy but an awkward shower due to the handicapped access and potential for flooding

steel verandas, but huge

FYI - very rare that a cat 3 is available at check in to try to upgrade to

it can happen - but it is usually the exception to the rule

We have had the Cat. 3 in the aft and are booked now for the Cat. 3 in
the middle of the ship. We prefer the aft Cat. 3 (they are handicapped
cabins, so they are a little larger), ""IF"" there are no guests in those cabins
at time of sailing, you can try and go to guest relations at the terminal or
once you all leave and see if they will move you (maybe you want to see yours first and then see the empty one before making the decision???), but
we LOVE THE AFT!!!!! If it is available that is what we prefer.....

Larger than mid, the balcony is a super nice size and we just preferred the
aft (like I mentioned "if" available).....

Sorry, let me clarify...

We didn't care for 8548 due to the fact we host DIS parties in our rooms....that particular room didn't "flow" well enough for our guests.

;) wink, wink...nudge, nudge I much prefer the last 2 rooms we stayed in (Roy and Walt's rooms)....here's a link to our October 29, 2005 cruise
