Hi, Just returned from the Best Buy in Seekonk MA and the Manager REFUSED to take the Disney site coupon. Has anyone else had this problem with Best Buy?? I then went to Target(in the same area) and purchased the Toy Story 3 where they did take the $8. coupon. :) Joan

Did Best Buy say why they wouldn't accept the coupon? I honestly don't care for the Seekonk location. I've been in there twice and bought times felt as if I were bothering them. PS I bought a netbook and a wireless router, so not like I was just window shopping

I have never had any problems with the Best Buy near me accepting any of the Disney coupons I printed. Did they say why they wouldn't accept it?

The sales girl just said that they were not accepting coupons printed from the internet. When I said it was a Disney Site coupon she said YEAH we have had about 8 people try to use it today, and the manager said NOT to accept them?? Then another sales girl came over and said we have not taken them in over a year. Which was completely untrue because I bought Beauty and the Beast there last month and used the Disney coupon!! I also had a $10. reward certificate from Best Buy and the sales girl continued to ring up my purchase, I looked at the certificate it is good for a couple of more months and with Christmas coming up I know I can use it so I said "I am going to Target to see if they will take the coupon". Took my certificate and left. I wonder if this was just VERY poor judgement on the Managers part?? Or if this is TRUELY Best Buys new policy?? I do not care for Best Buy either and order most electronics over the internet now. Joan

I understand why retailers don't like internet printed coupons (I skimmed the Kmart toy coupon thread where people were printing the coupon and using it over & over & over again) Maybe the folks at Best Buy don't realize the Disney coupons are more regulated.

In the end they'll only hurt their own bottom line. Folks will do just what you did and shop elsewhere.

I've read that because the price at TRUs is so much higher than anywhere else, lots of folks are not picking up their pre-ordered copies of TS3 there either.

It will be interesting to see if BB and TRUs end up with a glut of TS3 DVD's. ;)

I have always had problems getting Best Buy to accept coupons. A few years ago I had a Best Buy coupon and they wouldn't accept it. It was for $5 off any Gameboy Advance accessory, no minimum required. They wouldn't let me use it to get a $2.99 item (I had multiples and used one at another store and it took $2.99 off as expected which was fine with me). I complained to corporate and they basically said that the manager's decision was final.

Same thing with the Monopoly Best Buy Bucks years ago. They told me you could use only $3 of the Best Buy Bucks on a video game, except it said $3 limit on DVD's and CD's only. They claimed games are DVD's :sad2:

Then, next year (2006) they specifically put in the rules that there is no $3 limit on a video game because so many people had problems getting stores to let you use more than the $3 and the stores still insisted there was the limit. I had to have a printed copy of the rules with me and show it to the managers every time I went to buy a game using the Best Buy Bucks. Plus there were all those people that were basically treated like criminals if they went in using $200 in Best Buy Bucks at once.

I never liked Best Buy and really try to avoid shopping there.

Can I ask where the coupon came from??? Thansk in advance.

My local Best Buy said they won't take the coupon because it was on sale and the coupon can not be used with sale items.

I just bought Toy Story 3 at my local Best Buy and used the $8 coupon with no problems at all. I bought the Blueray and it was $34.99 on sale for $24.99 and after the $8 coupon I paid $19!!!

I also used the same type of $8 coupon on the Blueray Beauty and the Beast movie at the same Best Buy when it was on sale and I also used my $10 rewards. I ended up paying $6 for it!!

I don't see why they wouldn't take the coupon.:confused3

I got the same denial from a Masachusetts Best Buy because they said the item was on sale. I never go there anymore.

Hi, I am registered on Disney.com and get e-mail coupons from Disney. They have bar codes and are legitimate coupons. Toy Story 3 had an $8. coupon offered by Disney to coincide with the release of Toy Story 3 today. And when you combine the coupon with the sale price of the DVD you get a pretty good deal IMHO! :thumbsup2 Joan

I used both my $8.00 off and Best Buy Rewards for $5.00 off. So I paid $13.00 for my blu ray and had no problems.

My husband bought the movie with the coupon at our Best Buy in Buffalo, NY without a problem

I used the coupon at the Best Buy in Syracuse this afternoon. I asked before I got in line and they basically said, 'it's a coupon, why wouldn't we accept it??'. I also had a $5.00 Reward certificate so I ended up getting the movie for $13.00!

Got mine at a Best Buy in eastern TN...the coupon wouldn't scan and the girl called someone over(mgr???) and he told her that because it was a "manufacturers" coupon she would have to enter it manually, she typed something in and he told her to hit "7" on the register(whatever that means)....it was on sale for 24.99 (bluray/dvd/dig. copy combo pack). No problems.:thumbsup2

I tried to use mine for Beauty & the Beast at Best Buy and the cashier said "We're not an authorized retailer and don't take those coupons." I said, "well, then put it back and I'll get it at Target." It was regular price, too, as it was the Monday following the release, so the initial sale was off.

The heck with Best Buy, I sent DH to CVS today and he got, 20pk charmin TP, 8 pk bounty PT, cottonell fresh wipes, charmin moist wipes, 2 large premade lemonade cans, a bottle of ranch dressing, 2 packs puffs tissue, 2 dawn dish soaps, AND Toy Story 3 for only $12.94. :)

Oy I can not stand Best Buy for sooo many more reasons than the experience you just had. Im glad you were able to use the coupon elsewhere. Best buy doesn't deserve your purchases!
