Just got back and had to report on the fab burger we got at Sci-Fi. We got there at 11:30 and got right in without a PS. The service was wonderful, and DD and DH thought it was great to be able to sit in a car and watch TV. DD's first Drive-In Movie.

It is a "Must Do Again" :teeth:

Glad to hear you liked Sci-Fi's burgers. Personally, my preference for the best burger at WDW is Cosmic Rays (MK). I like Sci-Fi for an afternoon treat, but can take a pass on the food. The atmosphere at Sci-Fi is great and when we were there last, we loved the CM/server on skates! Brought back some great memories (now I'm dating myself) of drive-ins with skating servers. :p

I have found the hamburgers at Beaches and Cream to be very good. I have yet to try my luck with the kitchen sink for desert :)

I found the best burger at Big River Grill...........yummmmm !!!

Gotta say I'm a Pecos Bill's fan for burgers. I've also enjoyed the ones from Cosmic Rays and Beaches and Cream. Will probably try the one at Sci-Fi in May so thanks for the tip :)

My vote for the best burger is Beaches and Cream!

Another great choice is the steak burger on the lunch menu at Le Cellier in Epcot.

Did you happen to have a milkshake while you were there? I hear great things about them!

:)

Misti-

We've had the shakes at SciFi and they are really good!

I'm glad to hear that you liked the burgers @ Sci Fi. We ate there in Oct. but at dinner time. I thought the menu would be the same as the lunch one but there weren't any burgers on it.

This year I made a ressie for lunch. DH claims Peco Bills have the best and I'm counting on Beaches & Cream not to let me down... We'll see.

I vote for Pecos Bills.. And there is really only one reason. Toppings Bar. I love to stack my burger with all the different stuff I can and PB has everthing my heart desires and I can have as much as I want

Glad you enjoyed it.:)
Our favorite is Jungle Jim's at the crossroads.

We really enjoyed the burgers at Pinnocchio Haus they were big and yummy just like the ones at cosmic rays Yummy!

Sci Fi's burgers are reliably good, in my experience. In fact it's the only thing I've ever had there in several trips. Have never gotten a bad one.

Pecos Bill is a good fast-food option.

Off the beaten path...

Cheeburger Cheeburger is several miles from WDW but worth the trip for serious burger lovers. It's a regional chain that originated in Sanibel Island.

Market Street Cafe in Celebration makes an excellent burger.

Fuddruckers is still darned good for a chain. Closest one to WDW's in Altamonte Springs.

Richter's burgers and Burger Digs at Universal are also very good counter service places.

I wasn't overly impressed with Beaches and Cream. Will have to give them another try.

Had a bland, uninspired burger at Jungle Jim's several years ago.

May have to try one at The Palm at Universal Hard Rock Hotel next trip...

As you may have guessed, I seek out burgers whenever possible when in Orlando. :D

Beaches and Cream has the best burger (you could start with a hot dog) to lead off for a No Way Jose - a peanut butter and hot fudge delight with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and chocolate morsels, whipped cream and a cherry ...................
YYYUUMM YYYUUMM

TropicalRobot,

Wow...impressive burger knowledge around Orlando!

Just a note...

Sadly, Fudruckers is now closed :( I think it was over a year ago. It is now some Chinese super buffet. It was a real shock to my system when I drove over an hour to get a Fudrucker's burger only to find out they are closed!

Market Street Cafe is definitely one of my all time favorite casual dinig locations... all of their food is great!

DH and I ate at Sci Fi for dinner in early March...we asked for burgers even though they weren't on the menu for dinner and it wasn't a problem to get them. :)

My DH also agrees that the Sci Fi burger is the best at WDW...even better the Beaches and Cream, and definately better than the counter service burgers. :)

We love the Big River Grill burgers! We had them two nights in a row via takeout from our room at the Boardwalk Inn on our last trip!
