Best Bug Repellant for 1 & 4 yr olds?

Burt's Bees IMO is like Skin So Soft in that it works because it's oily and they can't land as well. We don't like being oily, so I use Buzz Away. You can find it at health food stores. Smells VERY strongly off peppermint and citronella, so if you spray your kid, the bugs literally stay away like lighting a candle. The plus is that you only have to spray the kids and walk near them. :lmao: My DH calls it "anti-friend spray" and says I am mean for using it, so he doesn't. They come in covered in bites, not one bite when I spray them. And yes, they still have a couple of friends left.

Also comes in towelettes.

I use the Avon Skin so soft with the picardin spray and also the sunscreen with skin so soft that has bug repellent in it as well....

We just got back from WDW. Didn't really see any bugs at all, so we didn't use any bug repellent. 2 of us got bites from something (one bite each) minor but they really itched! I had packed this = http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=13120&catid=10539s Had never used it before, but it is fabulous!

I've been using that for years, works great. :goodvibes

I made a new discovery the other day, stinky AXE body spray seems to works wonders! :rotfl2:
My DS17 tried a new deoderant scent, obviously since you can't smell it in the store, we didn't know how badly it stunk. Well, once he put it on it was a bit hard to get the rugged stench off, so he just smelled worse than he would have w/out deoderant all day. He went into the woods for a while with our neighbor, and he came out with at least twelve bug bites. Not my DS, he had nothing!

I guess the bugs hated the smell too!

We use Cutter Advanced with Picaridin. It works really well, as my youngest 3 have mosquito allergies and if they get bit it looks HORRIBLE (big blisters)....I never even knew such allergies existed (other than the normal little itchy red bump that comes up after being bit) so we try to keep them sprayed down everytime we go outside. Not sure if it's because they are young or what, but they seem to attract anything that bites; fleas, mosquitos, chiggers...etc.

I use Avon's Skin So Soft bug repellent on my kids and it works great. It's not oily at all.
I have used Burts Bees and I do like that too.
