Hi everyone!

We will be staying at AKL for 2 weeks from 22nd September and have the Disney dining plan. On our past trips we found out that we generally like to use our TS credit in the evening and then QS credit and snack for breakfast/lunch. E.g. use our snack credit for a breakfast pastry.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some tasty snacks/lunch options which are available on the dining plan in the parks or DS? I feel that in the past we haven't been too imaginative with our choices and we would like to change this on our upcoming trip 😃 Is there anything you can't miss when you're eating in WDW?

I think that DAK has some great optons for snacks. I like the colossal cinnamon bun at Kusafiri bakery is awesome! There is also a mac and chhese pulled pork at a kiosk near Flame Tree, however it closes in inclement weather.

You can get any size beverage at Starbucks for a snack credit, and that is a very good value.

The food booths in Epcot during the F&W festival have some interesting snack options.

Waffles at Sleepy Hollow.

My DD and DSIL watched some food bloggers on Youtube to see what snacks "got away" from us and we watched for them while we toured.

Waffles at Sleepy Hollow!

I've never used the Dining Plan but some of the items at Les Halles in the France Pavilion make a very nice meal for low cost, so I would think may qualify as a snack credit.

Something that hasn't been mentioned is this gourmet popcorn cart that is just outside Journey Into Imagination (thanks DFB!). They have three flavors available (typically cheddar, buffalo bleu cheese, and sour cream & chive). Don't take my word for it but I think they may have changed a flavor for Food & Wine (not sure). But if not, a tip is you can mix all three flavors together in one serving.

if Galaxy's Edge is in the cards, there are plenty of snack credit items plus people have reported being able to use QS credits at DB7 & Ronto Roasters. If in DHS you could also hit Woody's Lunchbox for the lunchbox tarts (snack) or any of their breakfast/lunch items. If you feel like sharing a sweet treat after lunch, Epic Eats has this massive funnel cake with ice cream and either strawberry or oreos that you can get (it's $8.49 but so far still a snack credit). I'd get that funnel cake but it easily feeds 4 people and would be too much for me and my dad only.

There's also a huge cinnamon roll (the tall fluffy kind) at Gaston's Tavern.

There are lots of places at Disney Springs that serve very good food as a QS option. Our favorite is Wolfgang Puck Express. They serve a variety of sandwiches and brick oven pizzas, as well as a few other things. Earl of Sandwich is pretty good, D-Luxe Burger is supposed to be very good... I would check out the offerings at DS if you are wanting to get GOOD food with a QS credit.

Just a suggestion, have you considered some of the resorts for meals? Geyser Point was one of the best QS meals we've ever had, as well as Sebastions, The Wave and Toledo were excellent choices to consider.

Satuli Canteen and Flame Tree Barbeque are both great lunch places in AK. Woody's Lunch Box was great for breakfast in HS. Probably the best snack credit breakfast items are in your resort food court. But Gaston's in MK has HUGE cinnamon rolls as a snack credit! Three people could share one!

Les Halles pastries and sandwiches are a great use of a snack credit.

I completely agree with the Epcot popcorn cart recommendation--so good!

We always eat breakfast in our room but we also rent a car so a grocery stop is easy. For lunch our favourites are:
Epcot - Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe
MK - Columbia Harbour House
AK - Flametree BBQ
DS - Wolfgang Puck Express (great deal for a QS)
DHS - Backlot Express for the best of a host of mediocre choices.

Wow - these are amazing suggestions! thanks everyone! I had no idea many of the snacks mentioned even existed.

They've also made me very hungry already... can't wait 😃

Just be prepared to wait in line a LOOOOONNNG time to use that snack credit. Holy cats, every Starbucks I saw on the trip, any time day or night, was plagued with long lines. I went without the whole week! lol
