Best Beer in the World (Showcase)

I also agree with the choice of Ringmes drom Norawry.

As a frequent travellor to Germany, I am disappointed in their choice of Becks!

Well, my DH drinks non-alcohol beer only (usually :p ) and he says the best is Kaliber, at Rose & Crown.

I've never been to the real Germany, but I'd much prefer Dinkel Acker!

What? There are other beers beside Guinness served in the World Showcase? Outside of the occasional Bass Ale, I thought Guinness was the only brew available. With Guinness available, why would anyone want a Stella, Ringnes, or Dos Equis? ;)

I could never develop a taste for Guiness. It tastes like old coffee to me. I do think that they're advertising is great though.:hyper:

I second the choice of the Moroccan beer. DH had some at the F&W festival and I had a few sips. I loved it. I wish I could have had more but by the time in our vacation that we got to EPCOT I had a very strong suspicion that I was pregnant so I didn't drink more. (Well turns out I was right! Our "princess" will make her first trip to WDW for her brother's fourth birthday this Nov.) No doubt I will be getting a Moroccan beer!

MPLsDad that's and awesome statement about Bud! I'm going to share that with DH. He sells beer for a local distributer that sells Miller, Sam Adams, Guiness. He'll enjoy that.

theres an old story about a guy walking in to rose and crown and asking for a miller lite. they don't have it, so he asks for budweiser. the bartender apologizes and explains that they have beer from uk and ireland, but no american beer. the guy says no american beer?! well just bring me the closest thing you have to american beer. and the bartender politely brought him a glass of water.

Best beer in WS, Huh????

My choice is Dos Equis, Rignes, Becks (light), Sam Adams, Kirin, slip in a glass of wine in France, Guiness, and LaBatts........

Oh you wanted one...........???????

Ahhh...............I like beer..................        <---Me after a trip around WS........

This is the best thread I've ever read on the Dis...

We leave for FLA TOMORROW and are staying at BCV which means I'm a resort away from the largest selection of beers on Dis property at the Yacht Club!!!

You can bet I'll be sampling a new beer after a long day.

Hey MPL'sDad - we're from St. Louis so watch the Bud comments!

Just kidding - I was glad when AB bought Corona (my favorite) because my FIL retired from the brewery and I couldn't drink any other brand in front of him!

Anyway - look for the guy at the end of the bar at the Yacht Club next week...it might just be CooderBrown.

I'm glad I found this thread. I plan on going "around the world" at the WS. (There's a bar in Baton Rouge, LA that has beers from just about every country - after you have so many of them, you get your name on the wall for going "Around the World" - just a litle background for everyone). Thanks, all, for your tips on the beer.

Coffee grounds was how I described it too, I think you have to have a taste for Dark Beer which I don't have....

I have to put my vote in for Rignes in Norway (viking size please!)

Round these parts, Kclingers in Hanover Pa. is hands-down the PLACE to go for beer.
620 bottle selections, always 40 selections on draft (and they roate on a regular basis). When I go I always get the sampler of 6 different drafts (you pick them yourself). In the past few visits I've had beer from Singapore, Sri Lanka, Russia-- along with a Lemon Lager and a Strawberry Wheat
Interestingly, they don't have Ringes. Instead they have several selections from Aass--which I might add are as good as (or better) than Ringes.
If you can't get hold of Ringes locally, try a beer from the other brewery in Norway--Aass!

but the question is are they using nitrogen mix taps at rose and crown? rumour has it that the taps are not nitrogen (or at least not enough)... next time you have a pint at rose and crown, try and convince yourself that the bubbles are small enough and the head smooth enough to be 3/4 nitrogen... i don't think you'll be able to do it... but then again maybe every time i've been there the lines are dirty... ;) don't get me wrong it is still a great place for a pint...

Another vote for Ringnes hands down. My only complaint about this beer is that the Viking Size is no longer available.

Ringnes from Norway!!!!!!!!!!

I don't trust anyone.

I'll have to try all of them and decide for myself.

Thank goodness for Disney Transportation!

No Viking Size????????????? Aaaaack! I feel the thirst vultures circling!

Can you get the Ringnes from the Bar in the Yacht Club?

Also - in Epcot - can you walk with a beer or do you have to have resturaunt seating?
