My DH has requested that I investigate something of significant importance. Should he develop a thirst in Epcot, where would he find the best beer and/or best location to sit and have a cold one - AHHH!

As always, thanks for your help!

We tried the beer from Great Britian at one of the carts and found it not too bad.

Unfortunately the only thing they have at the stand in Canada is skunky moosehead and swill water labatts. They do have unibru if you go in to La Celliar.

The best bet at world showcase is Rose and Crown pub, hands down. Guiness, Bass, Harp, Tenets, Boddingtons, Stella Artois.

Matsu-Noma lounge in Japan is another good place, with Kirin products.

An easy walk away is the crew's cup in the Yacht Club which has the widest selection of bottles on disney property. Also an easy walk is a big river location, but not the best big river location.

UK Rose and Crown ...no question about it. Bass or Harp. I love them both.

But to enjoy the absolute best in EPCOT, you'd have to go to NORWAY for a RINGNES! Why not drink around the world and make up your own mind? Do it in the name of action research!

Awwww too bad you're not going to be there for Food and Wine Fest http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/epcot/events/index.htm this Fall...or perhaps y'all can make another trip then.;) Don't let the name fool you because there is PLENTY of beer to taste there too!!!

My DH,Joe, is a homebrewer and his favorite beer at Epcot is Guiness in the UK but I prefer Tenets.Strolling down the little street in the UK back to the garden, finding a bench and listening to the British Invasion band is our FAVORITE place to enjoy our brew! Pick up some fish n chips, they taste wonderful with the beer!!!

Always find it interesting that hardily ever is the good old USA mentioned in a Beers around the World thread.
I have my own view of why----
Anyway--I have to go with Ringes as the top choice, with a Dos Equis as second up. Would add that Great Britain seems to have the largest selection, but I'm not terribly fond of British beer in general (except for Brown Ale, such as Newcastle).

My theory about America is that people that love beer can get American beer just about anywhere if they're from the USA. However, I never pass through the pavilion without picking up a beloved Sam - my beer of choice here in the states!

It wouldn't be very realistic unless the best beer was in Canada.

You're right. It's called La Fin du Monde. Have a few of those, and you might think it's the end of the world. (9% alcohol)

Go to the Rose and Crown pub, grab a Guinness, then go to Canada to listen to Off Kilter!

I really liked the beer in Morocco!! It was realy good!! Also if you want a budweiser morrocco is the cheapest in world showcase for that beer!! :)

I would pretty much agree that this is the single best beer in Epcot, imho. The only hesitation that I would have is Guinness (I always sort of take guinness for granted, then every time I have one I think, dang, Guinness really is good). This is why I said you have to go in to la cellier for the unibroue - to the best of my knowledge that is the only place it is available in the pavillion. They did have La Fin Du Monde the last time we were at brown derby in MGM as well. But, yeah, it is probably the single best beer in Epcot, and Rose and Crown would be the best place to get beer in Epcot. Anytime I have ever been to La Celliar it seemed too crowded and busy, and a long wait even with a PS - not an easy place to just grab a beer. But then La Fin Du Monde isn't a beer you just grab, either, it is really, really, really good.

Some time somebody is going to have to explain Ringnes to me. So many people really seem to love it. I think there must be something about it that I don't appreciate. I think it is OK, I like it just fine, its very drinkable, but it isn't my favorite beer in Epcot or even my favorite Norwegian beer.

So, suzieqinga, your husband really does have his work cut out for him - La Fin Du Monde in Canada, six beers to go through in the UK, Kirin Ichiban at Matsu-Noma, Ringnes in Norway (and I'm sure that only a Viking size will do), and dos equis in Mexico. Then come back here and tell us what he thinks.

Uncelremus - Sam Adams is pretty good, but I agree with MPLsDad that it is easy to skip because it so ubiquitous outside wdw. But then so is Guinness and Dos Equis, really. I also agree that there are some UK/Irish beers that I would like to see added to Rose and Crown.

Tennants and Stella Artios at the Rose & Crown get my vote.

Can Budweiser really be considered a beer? I like to call it alcoholic water beverage...:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:
