Hi Fellow Forum Members,

I am wondering what some of the best BBQ rib joints are in the Orlando area as my fiancee and I are big BBQ rib freaks. We are from the Boston area and for those who are from the same area. We enjoy Firefly's, So we are looking for almost the same BBQ like that. If anyone knows any BBQ joints. It would be appreciated if you could post a link to their website, So my fiancee and I can take a look at their website

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but my family really liked Smokey Bones when we visited last year and we're looking forward to going back when we visit this May. I do believe it's located on I92.

We have a Smokey Bones in NH. That is a decent BBQ joint. Thanks for that info.

We've heard nothing but good things about Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ http://www.bubbalous.com/
and tried hard to get there but didn't. Definately at the top our list for this year's visit though. It's near the Universal Studios area, I think.

If you go, please don't forget to write a review on it. I'd like to be sure it's still good.

Another vote for Bubbalous. We eat there every time we are in Orlando.

I finally got to try Bubbalous in February. We thought the pulled pork sandwich was great but did not try the ribs. We were told to mix two sauces together - the sweet and the hot - which flavored the meat perfectly.

The sandwich was big and cheap. The Dessert Lady store is right around the corner so we were able to stop in for a piece of carrot cake after lunch. It is the best I've ever eaten.

For ribs, I like the ones they serve at Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom. I like my ribs wet, so I fill up sauce cups to dip the smoky dry rub covered ribs in. These are very different from traditional baby back ribs, so you may not like them.

I think once you develop a taste for a certain rib, others often pale in comparison. We drive from Michigan to Louisville for our favorite ribs. I may not find any others I like as much, but I do like to experience different cooking styles and sauces.

Thanks all for the comments. As with Smokey Bones being down there. That will probably be the place that we go to for BBQ ribs as we have had prior experience with them and we know what we will be getting. Thanks again.

Tony Roma's House of Ribs on I-Drive.
All you can eat on Monday nites.
We go every time we are in Fla.

Bubbalou's is the best BBQ, Hands Down. It's not even close. And their prices are great too.

It's WELL worth the drive over to the Universal area for Bubbalou's. Don't miss it!

Let's all just pause and share a moment of silence for the late great Fireworks Factory in the old Disney Village. For years, it was our first nite go to restaraunt. I miss it greatly.

Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ.

Best BBQ. And that's from a HUGE BBQ fan who can only find REALLY good Q at Uncle Willie's in Waterbury.

I've been to Smokey Bones (we have one out in Manchester), and for a chain, their BBQ is pretty good.

Bubbalou's puts it to shame.

LOL pilferk--I'm from the Waterbury area and everytime I drive by Uncle Willie's I wonder if it's any good--guess I'll have to try it now!! Thanks for the review :) .

Here's another vote for Smokey Bones! LOVE their BBQ!!

My fiancee and I are from MA and our first choice is a place called "Firefly's" which is very good and we go every other Saturday, But "Smokey Bones" is our second favorite in the area. That is where we will end up when we go to Orlando.

It is better than good. It's amazing. They hit a bit of a rut in '06 (even so, they were still amazing), but have come on strong again.

To look at the place....a little hole in the wall...you'd never know it. I actually work in the Southwestern part of the state, but live in the NW hills...so drive route 8 just about daily.

I actually stop and pick up dinner once a month, or so, and bring it home. Their brisket, burnt ends, etc are AWESOME. My suggestion: Order the ribs "dry" (with just the rub), get some sweet and some hot sauce on the side, and mix the two sauces together. Heaven on a plate.

Sides are VERY good, too. I really like their greens and their cole slaw. The only side I've never been too "hot" on is their chili. It's OK, but...not nearly up to the standards of the rest of their food.
