Best Baths excursion???

Trying to decide between the Tour of Virgin Gorda and the Day at the Baths. Does anyone have any experience with either of these excursions? Is morning or afternoon better?

I am not going until April, but I did register for the Tour to Virgin Gorda (TT23) last week. The only difference between the two that I could see is lunch. I only saw a morning departure.

We signed up for tour of virgin Gorda for our upcoming cruise. They look identical but for 1 extra hour that includes lunch and is almost twice as much for cost. When I booked there was only a morning option and I'm gold so I assume that's the only option.

We want to visit The Baths as well but we are thinking of just using Speedy's ferry/taxi package instead of a Disney excursion or chartering a boat. Sounds like there is a short hike in when you arrive by tax which I think our family will enjoy. If anyone has tried that please let me know how it went!

My understanding is that if you are arriving at The Baths by boat, it's easier to swim in than to hike in, but on the off chance it is a windy/wavy day, boat tours are canceled.

We aren't going until 2017 and I am just at the beginning of the planning process so I may have this all wrong, hopefully someone will correct me if that's the case.
