Best Bargains at Disney World

I'm going to say extra days on your park tickets. Once you get past--is it 5?--it's only another $10 per adult to add another day. So on that last day out, even if you've only got a few hours before your flight, it's so worth adding another park day, even just to do a few rides or take one more stroll down Main St. I know the first few days are expensive, but it does seem to balance out.

And I think all the transportation is great. Yes, I understand it's factored into other costs. But it's so nice that I can get from the airport to hotel and back without having to rent a car or hire a service. And I don't have to drive the whole time I'm there--no stress, no parking fees, no rental fees, no gas costs.

Oh, and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards! You can't get better than free!!! My kids happen to love playing the game. But even if you don't, everyone with a ticket to MK can get a free pack of cards to start. The cards are a great souvenir! Yes, if you want more on subsequent days, you have to at least play one step of the game. But the first packs for everyone don't require anything! And as long as you play once each time, you can get another pack every day you're in the park.

Where do you get these cards?

We all know there's a built-in premium cost of everything at Disney. But what's your (relatively speaking) best Disney bargain?

I'll start: I think the $120 advance-purchase PhotoPass CD is a bargain if you're there all week. That's not a bad price to have photographers take unlimited, high-quality pictures all over the parks. On my recent trip, I had about 400 pics - coming out to about 25 cents a picture. Especially a good deal if you don't like taking pictures yourself or simply not good at it.

To each his/her own.

We take around 100+ PhotoPass pictures, but ultimately purchase far fewer than $120 worth.

Where do you get these cards?

In MK, at the fire station. It's on the left, just after city hall/guest services, when you enter. They also have a stand behind the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. I want to say there's like 5-7 cards in each pack. There's 60 basic cards to collect and then there are booster packs that contain special cards for purchase. If you buy the booster pack, it comes with a game board too so you can play a form of the game at home. My boys fell in love with the whole concept last year and can't wait to go and play again this year.

But even not playing the game, they're cool to collect!

We like the sand pail ice cream at the water parks. For $10, you get a huge sundae in a sand bucket, and it's more than enough for the 4 of us.

I also think adding the Water Park Fun & More onto the tickets is a good bargain. I buy the 10 day passes with no expiration, and adding the WP option is only about 56 bucks per person. That gives us 10 extra days of fun that don't expire even after the theme park passes are used up. We usually do a summer trip of just water park and DisneyQuest :goodvibes

I concur completely. We have done this for our family since our first visit and we go about every other year, visiting only 3 parks which gives us 3 trips out of the ticket to visit the theme parks.

we love all the free boat riding opportunities. POR to DTD is so peaceful, Friendship Boats to both DHS and Epcot, Wilderneddss Lodge to MK and Polynesian boats to MK.
Riding the Monorail to Epcot and back to MK.
Rent a fishing pole at POR, kick back and enjoy.

Enjoying the Boardwalk and entertainment there. We used to get sandwiches from the Boardwalk Bakery and take them to DHS with us for lunch~large sandwiched at a reasonable price

Fort Wilderness, tons to do there for free!

Tour the resorts, really, there is so much to see for free it is unreal.

and my #1 bargain is free ice and water..all day everyday :thumbsup2

I, too, have to go with what some PPs have said: The Value Resorts and the refillable mugs. I have so many mugs now that there is one specific shelf for them.
There are lots of good bargains to be had. I think the fact that you can park your car and not have to crank it again till you leave for home is a great value (ie: resort bus transportation). Free ice and water in the parks. BOG lunch being a QS credit. Free boat rides. Resort hopping and using your meal credits at said resorts.
But the biggest bargain: the smile in my heart that comes only from Disney, that money can't buy ;)

Tables in Wonderland. It paid for itself in about three days on our first trip of the year and still have two more trips to go.

Saving us HUNDREDS of dollars.

Free Dining at a Value resort and Animation Academy.
