I've got to make a quick run to the grocery store and then to enroll Amy in her ballet classes for the fall. We don't get our school schedules until Monday. Then I'm fixing a quick dinner and we are heading to Bricktown for the evening. We are taking the kids to see Weird Al tonight. Should be fun.

Afternoon All!

Looks like we have quite a few ideas for RiddleCon! Why don't we pick a new place each time in different areas so everyone can have a chance. It seems like there are a lot of us on the east coast, but I'd be willing to travel to Chicago. Like E said, if it is a long drive, try to hook up w/ another riddler and make the drive an interesting one!

The doctor appointment today was a real marathon! I was there for 3 hours!! They did a ver complete spirometry (lung function) test, and gave me some new meds for my asthma which is definately a complication to my paralyzed diaphragm. The doctor said she has never before had a patient fail all three portions of the lung function tests. I have only about 40% of my lung capacity working. No wonder I feel so crumby! Monday I go to the neurologist, and Tuesday I have fluroscopic sniff test to see how paralyzed the diaphragm is. She is hoping it is due to the virus I had and not nerve damage.

I wasn't being mean about my kids' schedules, they both chose a course load heavy on academics and light on fluff. Good for them.

Carol-Matthew has a very tough schedule next year too....not even one elective! Between Band, Marching Band & German his open spots are filled. Meg's schedule does allow her a few electives because she isn't in the band.
Diane-I'm glad that they are still trying to pinpoint your problem and it's origins but I just wish they could be quicker about it....the not knowing must be making you crazy.{{hugs}} and support for you as usual my friend!
I have been really enjoying the Riddle Con picture threads!! It's fun to see all the shots everyone took. I can't wait til next year!

Diane - at least they are still running tests trying to find the problem. 40% is pretty darn low. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

CS - what check are you talking about? for your 2002 taxes?

But it's so fun to be a mean mom!!! You are truely lucky to have kids who aren't afraid of school work, and all the activities that go anong with HS. You have every right to be proud.


Diane, I hope they figure it out, but a week at OKW can't do anything but help.

CS, are you talking about the child care tax refund in advance? Do you have kids?

I still remember going to see the Freaky Friday w/ Jodie Foster. I didn't think this one would be good either. Just finished watching "Adaptation" w/ Nicholas Cage and Meryll Streep. What a weird *** movie! Both of them were up for awards. I don't recommend that movie at all. Bought the soundtrack to "Chicago" today. I can't get those songs out of my head. The movie was the best I've seen in a long time.
