Everybody's pixie dust must have worked! After sleeping on the couch for an hour (dh was snortling and keeping me awake), I got up at 6 am and had no trouble getting through by phone right at 7! Thank goodness I had the nicest CM who knew what she was doing, plus she had a very soothing voice which was much needed.

Dec. 16 California Grill 5:55 p.m.

Dec. 17 Chef Mickey's 10:15 a.m., Wonderland Tea Party for Olivia 2:00 p.m.
Garden View Tea for dh and me 2:15 p.m.

Dec. 18 Candlelight Processional first seating, Rose & Crown 2:05 p.m.

Dec. 19 Cinderella's Royal (PITA) Table :rotfl2: 10:05 a.m. , 'Ohana 5:00 pm

Dec. 20 Le Cellier 1:00 p.m.

Dec. 21 Kona Cafe 9:05 a.m. and Kouzzina 4:55 p.m.

And during this 24 minute conversation, dd came downstairs in no less than three different outfits for picture day--and none of them were the shirt we bought yesterday! Talk about getting good at sign language!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Oh, yes, and an FYI I wanted to mention:
If you make an online ADR and get to the end where it's supposed to give you a confirmation number and the screen just goes white...or says that page is not available at this time...the ADR still goes through. The Chef Mickey for the 15th did go through when I had the CM check, so I cancelled it. So, don't totally despair if it looks like the system just lost your reservation, it probably didn't.

So THAT'S why there's no ADR's left... we all have phantom ones out there... :scared1:

:faint: Sending lots of quick recovery vibes his way. I'd have to string him up after he recovered though for keeping that a secret.

Michelle!!! I can't believe he kept that from you! Does he not live nearby? I guess maybe I missed that somewhere...Here's a .

Prayers coming his way! :goodvibes

 hugs and prayers that he gets better so you can kill him :goodvibes

Jamie ... congrats on the ADR success!

Michelle ... hugs and good thoughts coming your way. Once he's recovered kick his a$$. :rotfl2:

F&W update ... today I booked the culinary demo on the 18th of October with Moonstruck chocolates! It was the one seminar that I really wanted to do (aside from the other six or seven that I already booked ...) and since the Chromosome Twins won't be arriving until after two I snatched the opportunity to book us!

Hooray chocolate! :cool1:

That's how I'm getting through today... :rotfl:

& don't worry... I do intend to kill him... VERY soon... :rolleyes1

I have good days and bad days, thanks for asking. This morning was bad and then by early afternoon it was OK again. I go to the GI's office on Friday morning to start the whole dance again ... it goes something like this:

"So what's going on?"

"Well, after spending the last twelve months dealing with Interstitial Cystitis, Sciatica, and Shingles while gaining twenty pounds in the process, the goblin seems to have awoken and is he ever cranky."

"Hmmm,, we'd better run the battery of tests again to see what's going on. You know the next step would be moving you to steroids."

"Yeah, but I'm really opposed to steroids; I like the simplicity of Jay being a man and me being a woman. I'm very concerned that if I start taking prednisone Jay will start calling me sir."

:rotfl2:

Actually I may ask him to run me on a course of antibiotics ... I have a lot of pain on the left side / lower abdomen this time which isn't typical of Crohns (it's usually on the right side) so I suspect that there may be some diverticulitis at play here. And I don't have time for a Colonoscopy, CT Scan, Small Bowel Series, and Endoscopy in the next four weeks unless it's an emergency. Since it's not, I'm hedging my bets and clenching my butt cheeks. :lmao:

Was that TMI?

Ohhh no, no, no, no, no......

TMI would be telling you I haven't shaved my legs since the last time I saw Michael... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (and they're beginning to look like my brothers legs... :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:)

Oh... & just in case I didn't mention it... Michael is kind of nomad... he technically lives in Jersey, but he travels and works out of about 4 locations so he's always going back and forth...

Calling you Sir? Like Peppermint Patty???!!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh that just had me on the floor! I actually think Brenda resembles Marcy more. While I have red hair, I am a bit too feminine to resemble Patty. ;)

:lmao: That which doesn't kill me makes me gassy. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the hug!

Wouldn't that make a nice button? :rolleyes1
Or some sort of cross-stitch sampler from hell.

Calling you Sir? Like Peppermint Patty???!!!:rotfl2:

I am sorry you have to go through all this and well.. it may be TMI you have to joke about stuff (I almost said crap but that was too much!) like this or you cry!
Hang in Brenda!:flower3:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It is crap, Chelsi ... that's why I make fun of it as much as I can even when it makes me want to boohoo all over the place. :goodvibes

And Sir ... yes, like Peppermint Patty. :lmao: I would end up having to borrow Jay's razor to shave. ;)

You don't already?

Ahhhh...so now I know what to get you for Christmas-a shiny new razor and some aftershave perhaps? :rotfl: JK! I hope you feel better soon Brenda.

Get her a pink one...it'll make her feel better...

:lmao: That which doesn't kill me makes me gassy. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the hug!

Ohhh where's the Tag Fairy when we need her...

Glad to hear everything worked out Jamie. Sounds like you have a great line up:thumbsup2

Cinderella's Royal PITA. I think they should start serving pita bread just so they can call it that.

Right now I am pleased that my plan to buy a new Universal pass when I am there on October 4 will likely get me into the Harry Potter extravaganza next year.

And it's likely I will have breakfast at Kona on October 5 (friends' idea not mine). Not touching the Tonga Toast. But I have heard things about macadamia pancakes.

I don't get all the hype with Tonga Toast either. It's okay but I find it a bit too sweet and donut like. I did have it this past trip because my friend insisted we go to the Poly one morning for breakfast (since she LOVES Tonga Toast) but I split it with another friend and even then could not finish it. I will not be having it again anytime soon. I found myself really missing the French Toast Loaf at the Main Street Bakery. I know that is sweet too but that is much more my kind of thing. So sad that it's gone:sad2:

Ok... Prayers and Pixie dust please...

I just got a call from Michael... my sig other... :rolleyes1

I couldn't get in touch with him for the last week... figured he was busy at work or traveling...

HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL!!!!

They had to put in a heart stent...

He didn't want to tell me... :headache: Didn't want me to worry...

You know... if he wasn't already half dead... I'd kill him!!!! :upsidedow

Sending some prayers your way. Hope he has a speedy recovery. I can't believe he didn't tell you -- oh yeah, he's a guy:rolleyes1

I'm behind on the boards- 10 hours of training today. :faint: We're attempting to fit it all in before I go away so, I'm working everyday until it's WDW time. So far I have everyone utterly impressed with my charming nature, cunning wit, hygiene, job skills, and overall awesomeness. It won't really be a pain to keep working up to vacation.:goodvibes

Besides- Mama needs pesos to burn at the Tequila Ditch.

Wonderland Tea Party :ccat: If only they let women in their mid-late 20's do that.:cloud9:

I'm glad everything worked out eventually for you. I wish there was an option when you are calling in for "soothing voice".

To be connected to a CM with a calm soothing voice; please press 6, or bang your head against the wall.

I'm sure if you had to take steriods you and Jay would make quite the handsome couple.:flower3: I hope you feel better soon. I know you'll be in fighting shape for the F&WF.:thumbsup2

Hoping things settle down a bit for you, and you can totally enjoy your food and wine time. :thumbsup2 You deserve a lovely vacation!!

We're off for a few days tomorrow, in the meantime, the ortho has been trying to close the gap between my teeth and a few other things with trays. Today we agreed it wasn't working....so I now have braces on 6 front teeth. My kids are going to find this hilarious. :rotfl: Me? I'm OK with it. It's better than having a big gap between my two front teeth.

Tonga Toast = big lump of fried bread coated with sugar. I like grease on pizza or fried chicken, but I'm not thrilled about sweet grease.

Macadamia pancakes on the other hand...

Hi Brenda, I haven't been on the DisBoards in a while but enjoyed catching up on all your ADR plans and tasting seminars for your upcoming trip!:thumbsup2 The chocolate tasting sounds really scrumptious!!! Sorry you're having such stomach problems again. You keep such a positive attitude about the whole thing and that is so important. I have IBS and you can't let it get you down to much.:) Can't wait to hear more about your plans.;)

ewww sweet grease. I'm not going to be able to get that image out of my head all day:crazy2:

:lmao: That which doesn't kill me makes me gassy. :rotfl2:

I feel your pain! Which I guess is better than standing downwind of you or me!;)

Honestly though I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I have IBS & dealing with the other health problems had me put off last year's dreaded colonoscopy. I've been having lots of "issues" too, but after just getting over surgery, I'd much rather suffer through it in WDW, than rush to get scoped.

Yes......................

A friend sent me a youtube of the monorail and I've been stuck watching WDW on youtube all afternoon...
