I know I'm a bit late... (we lost electric today because of storms...)

But now I know I can stop pacing wondering whether or not Bendy survived... :upsidedow

It takes more than eight glasses of wine and a lack of morning coffee (no milk) to keep Bendy down. :lmao:

Why do they do that--do you think people complained it came out too soon?
Do you think they would do it a little less tight if we asked? DD's hair stayed up just fine for her recital and she only had minimal gel put on AFTER I had it in a bun, plus it will have grown about another 3 inches since May by the time Dec. is here. We're going for the experience, not a week-long 'do!

I would definitely ask if they can do it looser if her hair is going to be fairly long by then....part of our problem was that Emma's hair was just barely past shoulder length, and is so fine and soft that braids fall out of it.:lmao: So they really shellacked the heck out of it when they did it. I think they also put so much in so that the glitter has something to grab hold of....although that didn't help much....her poor brother was covered in glitter for a week!:rotfl:

Picked something up at the store last week ...

Yalumba Museum Muscat ... Victoria Dessert Wine

It's an Australian Muscat ... we love these ... they taste a lot like tawny ports and pair wonderfully with cheese. They are usually pretty affordable ... $12 -$20 per 375 ml bottle.

YUM! :thumbsup2

Okay, time to cut myself off for the night....when I first looked at your post, I thought you said you bought an Australian Muskrat!:rotfl2:

Also, thought you might like to know that there was an article in the new issue of Southern Living on Monarch....I know you guys ate there a few months ago. The background information on the chef was very interesting....he trained with some really well known chefs.

I think I got caught up on everything on this thread from the last few days. :dance3: I had a busy week interviewing for a new job! (fingers crossed) And I am working on something for my Pre-Trip report which I will unveil next week. (forebode, or foreshadow? ... is it foreshadowing if I come out and say it? guess not...) It has taken quite some time, but it will be worth it. *rubs hands together gleefully*

Also, my friends got me hooked on this new book review/cataloging site:

Good Reads. That link takes you to my profile there. I know there are some readers here, and I thought I'd bring up this site.

I really love it for the "to read" list I can keep going on on. I have millions of scribbled scraps of paper, or misc saved 'notepad' lists on my computer of things I need to read, and this has been a life changing revelation.:worship:

I hope everyone has a good weekend planned!:flower3:

Since you and I seem to share at least part of the same brain, could you at least confirm that you won't be doing anything to spoof lord of the rings while drinking lots of booze on your trip? I think my husband would be crushed if you were ... he's been working on something all summer that is going to be a riot if we get it to work. :rotfl2:

Australian Muscat hee, I'm sorry, but this reminds me of my favorite lines from the Muppet Movie:

"Sparkling Muscatel, one of the finest wines of Idaho."

It's not funny by itself perhaps, but my brother and I always say it when drinking wine together. Plus it was said by Steve Martin, so that automatically makes it high-larious.

Great site! I'm like you and am always hearing about stuff I decide I need to read, and then forget about them.

Thanks for the pixiedust! And feel free to add me as a goodreads friend if you want:cutie: I am always looking for other peoples thoughts on books. That's the thing I miss most about working in a bookstore. Well, that and the discount.

Feel free to add me as a fiend. I am the #40 user on the site this week:rolleyes1

I may share part of a brain with you, but not your husband it seems.:lmao: My idea is something that is... nerdy in a different way. It's for my upcoming trip and it's taken 2 days of my life so far to get some of the prep work for this PTR event (yes- EVENT), and I still have to do one more day. I think... I've already said to much.

I love all the fiends around here! :lmao:

Well, my Jay is relieved and I am intrigued ... so I will look forward to your fabulous nerdy surprise with much pleasure. :goodvibes

And pardon my rudeness earlier in not wishing you good luck for the job ... I'm working on our blog tonight while poking around here as well and I'm not doing a very good job of reading everything.

Hey Bendy... I was looking on Amazon and I found a new tag for you... (think Paul Simon...)

"Still Pickled after all these years..." :rotfl2:

Patriotism Swells in the Heart of the American Bear.... (fozzy bear...)

Yeah... please tell Jay not to burn his fingers crossing any wires, ok??? :scared1:

EEEEEK!!! i absolutely LOVE that you guys love the muppets. I KNEW i liked all of you!!!

a favorite line of mine...

" Ahhhhh. A Bear in his natural habitat.... A Studebaker." Also said by Fozzy

Another favorite...

"Blow torch... Who said anything about a blow torch?" "I got some papertowels!"

and one more...
Guy behind the counter: "How are you guys gonna pay for this?"
Kermit says "What are our choices?"
Guy behind the counter says: "A. Credit Card B. Cash C. Sneak out in the middle of the night"
Kermit says "We'll take "C"
Guy behind the counter: "Very popular choice."

Good times!!!

Yall have a great night!

My nieces and nephews wonder why I know the words to the Muppet Movie...

What they don't know is that I learned it up at the lake one summer while BRUNK on a whole bunch of Genny Creme Ale...

I could talk Muppet quotes all night. My brother and I are super close (only 18 months younger, and might as well be my twin) and totally have popculture tourettes (as my Mother has described our nerd ailment).

From Muppets Treasure Island, when ever I give something to someone I always say "This is for you", like (I forget? Goat guy?) says to Long John Silver when giving him the black spot. (Conversely when taking something away, I usually say "yoink!", but that's Simpsons)

And that perennial favorite:

I'll trade with anyone who has a Jacuzzi!

...The previous was sponsored by a bottle of Gnarly head Cabernet.:cool1:

So I'm adding all the books I've read to my bookshelf on that Goodreads site, and I realize I have one major problem. I'm horrible at remembering names of books I've read, so all I can remember off the top of my head to add to my list are the series I've read, Twilight and Harry Potter, I few books about cooking, a bunch of Nora Roberts, which I only remember from doing a search on her, and Les Miserables.

I forgot that I was a member of that website ... haven't really used it because I just read as I go. But if anyone wants to "be friends" just send me a request. There's not much on my shelf yet. :lmao:

:lmao: Mostly tired ... and a bit of a sinus headache. Could be worse.
Glad you survived :thumbsup2

I'm all grumpy this morning since reading the threads about the CP price increase and set menu. This trip is going to put me in the poor house if the price increases and add ons and buffet increases don't STOOOPPP. The fishing is back on and dd is begging to go to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique (never been) so they can stretch her hair back with a whole bottle of gel for $55 and now the CP. Mama can't even get a drink in MK to help get through that process!

I broke down and ordered dd a Mickey christmas outfit off of ebay and I found someone on etsy to make us tie dyed Christmas mickey shirts and matching mom/daughter shirts. I may go hungry but I'll look festive, by golly! I just love tie-dye, it's the dormant hippie in me. :hippie:

CP dinner for 3 - $150
MVMCP for 3 - $150
Shirts to look cute at MVMCP -$70
BBB - $55
Shirts to look cute after BBB - $50
Dessert party if continued - $50
Look on daddy's face when he adds all this up.....:scared1::eek::crazy::headache:

The prices are getting ridiculous but I will say that I love the CP package

I think I got caught up on everything on this thread from the last few days. :dance3: I had a busy week interviewing for a new job! (fingers crossed)
 Good Luck!
