Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

Son of a witch ... this damn storm just doesn't want to go away. Keep an eye friends ... this could be a troublemaker for a lot of people. :headache:

I just saw this on GMA this a.m. It looks like more information will be available later today, according to Sam Champion. The storm has to "pop over Cuba" before they will know if it is going to be a tropical depression--it's just a "low" right now. In either event, Sam Champion said it would be out of there in the next 48 hours. Guess we'll have to wait and see. :confused3

Don't worry about that one. "According" to the weather this morning, it should be past Florida's East Coast by Thursday morning and up in the Carolinas by Sunday.

Here's hoping it moves fast and far away from us!

It's Poncho time! Especially Wednesday & Thursday, so safe travels to all those headed to the Swamp those days. I'd wish it away but we really need the rain.
Do we need little foux du fa fa umbrellas for our drinks?

I finally found y'all!!!!!!!!

Praying the storm doesn't affect the friendies leaving later this week.:grouphug:

Yeah, the weather guy here was saying that storm, which appears about to become "Nicole," is going to streak up the East coast and drop a lot of rain and should be up here in Virginia by Wednesday and NYC around Thurs. They've got it going faster than some of the others. These weather guys, they can't really say what's going on. Remember Matthew didn't do anything they said he was going to do.

There was some interesting stuff from some of the weather gurus saying these Central America systems (Matthew and soon to be Nicole) may have spun off from Hurricane Karl and that little yellow dot out in the Atlantic is what's left of Hurricane Julia, which just won't go away and keeps strengthening and weakening.

But for those of us flying out of East Coast cities at the end of the week, it could cause mayhem, I fear. Hope we are all wrong and worrying for naught!

yuck..crazy storm season!
I hope that the storm does not cause to be a problem for anyone this week/weekend!! I am actually going to Bermuda for the long weekend on Columbus Day weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary...I have a feeling we will be on storm watch then too!!

I just realized that I have more than enough Marriott Reward Points to book a free room! So... I booked the Courtyard Inn at Richmond Airport for Thursday night. I will leave here about 9:30 p.m. after my last lesson and drive down there to sleep.

Then I can get up about 5:30 (instead of 3:00) on Friday morning. I will drive from the Courtyard over to the Wyndham Hotel to leave the car for our Park 'n' Fly reservation. Their shuttle will take me to the airport in plenty of time for my 7:00 a.m. flight and I get a couple more hours of sleep for my troubles.

So my vacation starts a little sooner!! :goodvibes

I'm thinking it could be a problem on Sunday up here, depending on how strong it gets. They let me change my flight when Earl was approaching but this one is not going to be as big as Earl. Gonna have to watch it and see what it does. It could also be past here by Saturday.

When you post these maps on the board, they update automatically..so this post will show when it gets a name and all that (and it will probably become TS Nicole by the next update.)

An umbrella in Florida on Wednesday looks like a good idea.

Looks like my early morning flight on Friday might be an issue if this thing gets wound up at all. :(

Elin, I really think it's going to be past through by Friday! Praying that happens for you!

Have any of you listened to the DIS Podcast, The Swan & Dolphin team talked about the Event & brought the Pod crew samples, The crew practically sounded like they were all having the Big O! ;)

I think I will have to head over there on Friday, just to try that Shrimp "Bong"!

Safe travels and good weather wishes to everyone ... looking forward to seeing you at the world later this weekend and next week! :goodvibes

I hope you are right, Sheryl. And, it looks like it could be past here by then. If it is even much of a weather-maker. :confused3

This is just not the Year of the Swolphin for me I think. There are too many other things going on that weekend and I think we will just have to skip it this time. I hope they get their act together earlier for 2011.

I am so much looking forward to meeting the lovely people I feel like I have known for years. Renewing ties with those I have already met is also going to be terrific.

Travel safe everyone, and "see ya real soon!"

The excitement is building here too--looking forward to day's end tomorrow and flying on Friday. One little issue (possible sinus infection for me--), but heading to the doctor in a bit for medication! I hope to be back to normal on Friday! :woohoo: Now, if Delta would stop changing the flight time. :confused3
