We take the red-eye from LAX tonight so we should miss all the bad stuff or at least sleep though it. I hope it doesn't cause anyone problems at home or in travels!
We can't wait to see everyone and just have some good times!!

In Lake Buena Vista Land we had our storms last night. It is cloudy today with maybe a few more showers from Nicole's outer bands this afternoon. Tomorrow and the weekend should be fantabulous ... very warm (hot!) and sunny.

That's what they've been saying here in Northern VA, that we were going to get a ton of rain tomorrow anyway, and Nicole is just going to push more of it in because she's going to run into a front off the coast. She should be out of here by Friday night unless she really slows down.

Hope everyone has safe travels and an amazing trip! Wish I was going when more of you are there, but I have to say I am vigorously hoping and wishing that the weather will be cooler when I'm there!

I was so surprised when I stepped outside yesterday morning to find that it was almost what could be called cool and pleasant! I can just smell autumn (or what little we get of it here) and it is delicious! I was actually able to turn off the AC and just have the windows open last night. My cats especially liked that, it was so cute, they were all trying to crowd on one windowsill.

I know most of you dread the change in weather because it means snow, but it's the other way around for me since it's so horribly hot here 6 months out of the year. It's also a great time of year for me because lately it has meant Disney time.

Looks like I might drive through some heavy rains on Thursday night on the way down to Richmond, but this says Friday might be a better flying day for me!

FYI - there will be a "Reservations Systems Update" affecting WDW, DL, Vero, HH & Aulani effective 4p October 12 through the morning of Oct 14.

No reservations or modifications to existing reservations will be able to be made on line or via phone for resorts, dining, tours, Cirque, etc. This includes providing confirmations and taking payments

Scheduled for another outage beginning 6p on 10/19 and 3 additional times through November & December.

DVC Members were already notified of the 10/13 outage as well as other dates.

I also got a message from one of my friends sailing on the Magic...

They've had a great time... Planky is still alive, and it looks as if they will follow the storm instead of sailing through it. I do believe there will be a mutiny when they are all told to get off on Saturday.. .(longer cruises will do that to you...)
