Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

and planning for next year! Met a few of the Friendies while there (Laura, Elin, Brenda and Jason) and nice to put faces to board names. We took two friends who had never been to F&W and they LOVED it! The four of us are planning a repeat next year!

We managed to hit every kiosk and imbibed our fair share of booze and beers. We aren't big on wine, but the Beer Garden in Germany and 15 Beers for 15 Years became frequent stops--we sampled each and every beer, some more than once. Our little foursome have designated ourselves the Slush Lushes since we had to cap each evening with a Lemon Grey Goose Slush. Not that it was our final drink of the evening, but our last while at EPCOT.

What a hoot! I hope those still there and preparing to head that way have as much fun as we managed AND the weather stays just as spectacular!

BTW, does anyone have a clue what the dates will be for next year?

They were all asking me (both the agent and the Top Chef Trail couple) what I was going to do with all the pictures. And I explained that I was taking them for some friends on a Disney website, which completely BAFFLED them!! Ah, well....I hope you thought it was worth the humiliation and you enjoyed them. What a fantastic event this was....Janie & I will MOST DEFINITELY be signing up to go again next year!! Actually, next year we may need to do more than just the one event...

and the Friendies thank you for that drooling food porn. Fantastic!

Dear Slush Lush the dates for next year are Sept 30-Nov 13, 2011! It's an adult walk in the park isn't it? Such a fun time!

The NYC Wine & Food Festival was this past weekend- and since I live so close to the City (LUCKY ME!!!!) my friend Janie (my BFF I go to STJ with every January) and I decided to attend one of the events- the Ming Tsai Dim Sum & Disco Brunch, held at China Grill.

You had me at the title for this event!

Thank you for taking pictures of all the food, I would have loved to sit in on that one! Talk about pacing yourself.... the goodies seemed endless! I really enjoyed reading about all the items.

Don't know where the Disco part came in, who could dance after eating all that!

First off, the name Dim Sum and Disco just makes me giggle.

Second, Thanks for bringing back a great memory. DH, the boys and I fell in love with those pork soup dumplings in NYC last year. We were visiting relatives in Brooklyn and had a fabulous evening walking over the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoying the deliciousness of Chinatown.

Man I would love to go to NYC F & W one day. My favorite city for eating. Ok so it ties with Paris...and Florence....and Rome...and Venice...ok so I have more than a few.

Thanks that means I can move our trip up by a weekend. It truly is adult fun. You meet and speak with so many people while noshing at those tables or relaxing on a bench. Then, of course, there's the food and booze. . . Thank goodness they don't open WS until 11 or it might be tough to fit in those other minor attractions at WDW.

We're back, and wish we weren't. Well, I wish I wasn't back... I think myBob and the girls were ready to leave. What the heck is wrong with them?!?!?

We had a wonderful time with great food and drink. Lots to report but no time to do it right now. Later, I hope!

Nice to have met you as well! I am so with you, I was definitely NOT ready to come home and not glad to be back. At least you have another trip in 71 days. . .I will most likely be waiting 11 months.
