Hi Nick

All I can find is either a refurb or change of ownership to Prime Outlets (www.primeoutlets.com)
I sent an email to Belz last week asking them to clarify the situation, no response yet.
I hope it is open for the annual tent sale on 14th Oct.

Oct 14-16th Tent sale
We go to this event every year. Its like any other sale sometimes you get a bargain sometimes you don't.
A lot of the stores from the malls have marquees in the parking lot. Last year in the Disney tent we bought Buzz lightyear business card holders retail $15 tent sale $1. In footware tent (can't remember brand but it was designer name) I bought shoes £uk60, tent sale $us19.99 can't remember what else we bought but it was cheap.
We usually go a couple of times over the weekend as some stock does change. This year we will only be able to go on the 1st day as we go on Disney Magic on the 15th.

I've seen something about Belz closing down as well. I think it was in SimonV's update to the 2005 Brit Guide but don't quote me on that. I've had a quick scan through the boards but can't find the link, maybe someone else might remember the same thing and know where to look. (hint hint Simon?)

Yes it was posted that it was to close for refurbishment in May, but then another poster said they had been the other week and it was still open. I'm sure it was one of Simon's replies too.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, we noticed that a lot of the stores had closed, and while we were there workmen had removed the carousel next to the Character Corner store (very sad as my girls used to go on it all the time when they were little). To be honest the Premium Outlet is much better than the Belz now.

THANKS FOR THAT.

BUT WHEN WILL IT REOPEN IF AT ALL?CANNOT FIND THAT ON THE ORIGINAL THREAD?

NICK N SARA :confused3

We were there a couple of weeks ago too several times as its so handy if ur on I Drive. I spoke to the info people cos was told ( according to Simons thread) that it was shutting for refurbishment at the end of May, however, they informed that there had been a change of ownership but NO plans to shut at all, so dont worry.

Just had an email from Belz.
They have sold both Factory Outlet & Designer Outlet. Would expect the refurb rumors are correct as Prime outlets are in the same business.

Thank you for your inquiry. Belz Factory Outlet World and Belz Designer Outlet Centre in Orlando were recently sold and renamed “Prime Outlets Orlando”. Their new website will be www.primeoutlets.com. You may also reach the mall management office directly at 407.352-9611.

A complete listing of other Belz Factory Outlet World and other retail locations can be found at http://www.belz.com/factory/index.html.

Thank you for visiting www.belz.com!

We went there at the end of May. Was very disappointed. There were a load of empty shops, mainly the ones I was visiting for :confused3

Premium Factory Outlet as LBV is much better.

Are the shops in Annexes at Beltz still there?
The one I'm interested in are: Calvin Kline, Timberland, Rebok, Nike.
Thanks.

They are, but I'd still steer you towards the Premium Outlets that have Reebok and Nike stores. Not sure about the other two. Look out for Reebok discount vouchers available on brochure racks. Did not see anything for Nike.

last year we went to festival bay at the top of i-drive.
some good shops, try steve & barrys for cheep clothes everything in the
shop was $8.95 or less.t-shirts,shorts,jumpers,trousers and jackets inclueded. going back in november.
 :Pinkbounc :rotfl2: :cool1:

The cowboy clothing shop in Festival Bay is also very good. I picked up one of those discount leaflets at the Edwin Watts golf shop and it had 20% off in the cowboy shop (sorry, I forget the name).

Agree about Steve & Barry's. We're seriously thinking that it might be cheaper and easier to go with very little luggage, buy a load of stuff from Steve & Barry's, wear it throughout the holiday and then leave it behind.

They are all still there ...we were there end of May and got some very good deals from Timberland in particular as well as Ralph Lauren.

If you want kids clothes Oshkosh has huge discounts at the mo. I still believe that Belz is well worth a visit
