Thank you, thank you!! I'm thinking that's plain yogurt??![]()
That was my assumption. I used plain greek yogurt when I made it.

TigerKat, did you see how the replies messed up? I was scrolling down, just about to ask if you were feeling better and there I saw myself quoted already asking that. I THOUGHT I WAS LOSING MY MIND.It was Chelle who asked that but the quote is attributed to me. Freaky weird. I hit the original quote button and it took me back to something I posted here two days ago.

Anyway, glad it is getting some better!
The rest of you are starving me to death. We are having leftover Domino's and salad tonight if dh ever gets home. Dd is writhing on the floor professing to be dying!
I've got lots of catching up to do here. I've spent the last three days passing kidney stones, so much fun.![]()
Well, we've made the executive decision not to attend MVMCP on our trip. I just can't justify the $175ish it would be for the three of us, when we'll be able to see everything that is at the party starting on the 19th. If we were going earlier in the season I might be able to convince myself, but I'm just worried that the last two parties of the year we could choose from would just be super-crowded. I think I'll feel more comfortable with that little cushion to pad the food/alcohol/Santa hat with Mickey ears budget!
That said it will be easier to decide where to eat and when now. I have on my definite list Cinderella's Royal Table lunch, 'Ohana, Biergarten CP lunch, and Rose and Crown dinner. Also a Kona breakfast. The possible work-ins are the GF tea room, Beaches and Cream and maybe the new restaurant replacing Spoodles. Or maybe Sanaa because we can't get good Indian food here and they have Tandoori dishes.
That's all the rambling for now. Dh's only planning is all the clandestine drinking he can get in that's not around our non-drinking friends that are joining us!![]()
don't forget that even if you don't GO to the party... it's really worth it to see the fireworks from the Poly beach... my mom and I went and got sandwiches and such at Capt. Cooks and then moved over to the beach and watched them from there... that part is free and you usually get the Electric Water Pagent passing by too at 9 pm...![]()
Mickey made out of cones...the attention to detail at TDL is unmatched.

Well Jon turned 40 on Friday. He couldn't decide what he wanted to for his birthday until Friday late afternoonThat's when he decided that The Melting Pot sounded good
DH & I have been a few times, but the kids have never been there so we thought it would be fun.
3rd course was the entrees. DH & I had the Fondue Fusion:
Lobster Tail
Filet Mignon Florentine
Limoncello Balsamic Sirloin
Shrimp Diablo
Sun-dried Tomato Chicken
Orange Fennel Pork Tenderloin
Porcini and Portobello Sacchetti
Fresh Vegetables
$87 per couple
The kids had Signature Selection $58
Filet mignon, white shrimp,
teriyaki-marinated sirloin,
breast of chicken and salmon filet.
It was a great weekend filled with wonderful food & booze![]()

Thanks Elin & Bendy, I'm feeling much better!![]()
Good!
Jay and I tried a new unibroue beer tonight ... Terrible.
It was so bad it was good ...I mean, it was so good that it was awfully good.
Oh I don't know what I mean except that at 10.5% alcohol by volume I can't feel my face after one small glass of the stuff.

Lessee ... what's been going on this week besides overwork for the soulless dominions of finance?
I have a breakfast interview scheduled with the bank that contacted me last week. This is someone who has tried to recruit me a couple of times in the last four years but I was never quite ready to leave my current employer. I'm not tremendously unhappy in my current role but I think this other opportunity may be a chance for me to actually move up - something that is all but impossible where I am now. And if it means I get to have a real voice in the development of credit policy / underwriting / risk management while getting paid some good money while doing it, then I've got to give it serious consideration. It's not often that opportunity knocks ... and in the case of this person, it's the third time he's knocked since late 2004.
Of course, I would have to negotiate ample vacation time so that Jay and I can feed our foodie habit, but I'll worry about that when the time comes.
Other news ... I had to rearrange our dining schedule for the end of this month when we're taking our staycation. Long story short ... I have to have a follow-up Endoscopic Ultrasound with a side order of needle biopsy. I had one two years ago when my GI found a tumor in the 'ol gut while he was looking for stomach ulcers. They like to make sure the tumor isn't getting bigger (how could it not with the amount of food I've been giving it?) or turning into something that we'd all rather not talk about. It's a submucosal tumor so it's not easy to remove and unless it has to be taken out they're going to leave it alone (that's why I always say I have a parasitic twin in my tummy ...).
Was that more than everyone wanted to know?
I'll go back to food. Today I bought tickets to a special event being hosted by Opera Theater of St. Louis in June. Two hours before their performance of Ghosts of Versailles, they're having a vodka cocktail mixing contest with munchies on the side. For $35 per person you get to sample all the food and booze you want up until the performance and tickets to the opera are included! We're not really opera people (unless no one is singing) but thought this would be a good, relatively affordable, boozy way to give it a try.
Very excited!
