Ok... I have only ONE problem with this thread....

I have to take notes ALMOST daily with suggestions and recipies and drink choices...

MY PROBLEM... I write it all down on post it's... my desk is COVERED because of this thread!!! ( my desk looks like it threw up little pastel stickies...)

What a fabulous birthday, Chelsi! Everything looks wonderful and reminds me that salad for lunch did not fill me up! The berry crostata looks really good, never tried basil ice cream.

We had the Etoile! If you go sometimes the grounds are amazing and they have a lot of room to spend your time!

I've been there spring, summer and fall... I LOVE how the winery is built into the hills so you cannot see it... Have you eaten there ever?

I hate traveling for my job ... screws up the whole week and my delicate constitution.

Busy crazy insane at work ... random phone call with a job offer for me from a rival bank (I'm not even looking) ... now I need to decide which stress I'd rather deal with: new job / you'd better be as good as we think stress or current dead-end job with the let us pay you for one job while you actually do four stress.

I think I'm going to go to bed now. Oh ... we're supposed to attend a beer / food tasting this weekend - all Boulevard Brewing beers (they're a KC brewery ... some of their specialty stuff is pretty good). I'll let you guys know if they have anything worth talking about.

Actually ... we've become very fond of the Unibroue beers ... just what I need to help me not lose weight!

After we did a drive by at the French Laundry -

Thomas Keller was in the drive way when we went around the street but guess who had put het camera away! So this is what I got ..

I food geeked out for a bit seeing the man in person .. then I was like wow- Chelsi calm down .. it wasn't like he was going to invite you in for free food.. OH BUT IF HE DID!

Then we ended at

One more glass and off the airport to home!

AWESOME! I've always said, if I could go anywhere in the United States for vacation it would be Biltmore Estate, if I could go anywhere for dinner in the entire world it would be the French Laundry (thank you Anthony Bourdain)!! I'm sooooo jealous that you were able to go to a Keller restaurant. I get over ruled when I suggest going anywhere but Disney , so my dreams of fine dining and American castles is on hold for now......

Hello my foodie friends,

I was just browsing the D23 website and came across some recipes from California Grill.

I forgot to ask people's thought's on the new D23 Magazine. In case it's new to y'all to, it's a quarterly glossy published by Disney with a very expensive price tag. I think it replaces the little magazine they used to publish.


Yikes, I missed your birthday Chelsi. Blame America Idol because from Monday to Wed. that's the only thread on the Dis Boards I hang out on. No prizes for guessing who I have mad love for. Anyway, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY WISHES and thanks for sharing the delicious pictures with us. Looking forward to gearing about DL. A colleauges son is there right now with his school orhestra.

Is the other job actually more interesting or is it a case of same job more money or is it "Grass is Greener" ? Either way, it's a big compliment to you to get an offer out of the blue.
