Chelsi, please tell me more about the bourbon grilled ham--it sounds divine!
Crabbie eggs benedict
asparagoose
honey baked ham
babka (I bought 'em from Dean & Deluca so they must be good!)
cheeses as yet to be determined
bird rolls
fresh fruit w/cream sauce
coffee
bloody mary ala Jay
prosecco
coffee cake (homemade by Jon)
tiramisu cake (ordered from the French gourmet bakery by yours truly)
Holy crap that's a lot of food!
We're having ham and scalloped potatoes.
Why? Why I ask you!? Dh wants me to make it. I don't want to make it, I don't like it.Oh well, it's easy.
We'll also have some sort of bread, green bean casserole, and oreo cookie 'salad'.
I just want to have something different. I have to go to the store today to buy all of our stuff.
In more important (and freaking out) news, we leave for Tokyo in 6 days.![]()
Here's where we are going if anyone is interested in taking a poke: http://www.ramsheadinn.com
Looks like a great place to go, for Easter or any other time, for that matter!
I have to attend a concert at Fairleigh-Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ next month. Do any of the friendlies know of a neat place to go for dinner in that area?

TOKYO!!! That is exciting!!!!! i can't wait to hear all about it! My fiance really wants to go there someday..me..i am a bit intimidated!
HELLO FRIENDIES
I have returned from a little weekend cruise to key west/cozumel on Carnival. We had a great time..LOVED the weather. The food was pretty good..i do have SOME food porn pics to share..i will have to upload them tonight and get them up here...SIDE NOTE: there was a sushi bar on the boat. It was small and offered 3 diff. types of rolls a night..but it was GOOD! cant' beat "free" sushi!
Easter:
I am going to my parents house for Easter since Greg has to work.
i believe the menu will be
HAM with some sort of good glaze
yams
green bean casserole ( i will make that)
reg. potatoes
rolls
deviled eggs
dessert: ricotta pineapple cake..YUM!
Hey, my dad attended Fairleigh-Dickinson for his masters! That was like over half a century ago though!![]()
I wish I could help with a dinner recommendation, but we don't go up that way very often (Teaneck is about an hour and a half north of us). The area is loaded with good places though, so you won't be able to go very far without stumbling on a really nice place to eat. We drive through the area a lot to take Drew up to college, but we never stop (its right around here that my butt goes numb on the long drive).Do you use Yelp or Open Table at all? I love those sites and you can always find a good place to eat based on the reviews. We use it when we are going into unfamiliar territory or looking to branch out of our comfort zone here at home.
We take a regular ham and put our own glaze on.
The Glaze is made of Bourbon, Brown Mustard, Apricot Jelly and other fun stuff. Then Jason puts it on the grill and baists it for a couple hours and it gets amazing! I have the glaze we do written down if you want. The ham on the grill came around a few years ago because we usually have a major heat spike at Easter and I wasn't turning on the oven but this year we are a normal temp - everyone just loves the grill so even when it rains we make Jason go out and ham it up!![]()
and Mint Juleps or Drunk Arnold Palmers
OH and WINE!
Please!![]()
Tell us more about the "Drunk Arnold Palmers" please![]()
I just make Ice Tea and Lemonaid - Arnold Palmers and then add -
we like Gin but you can make them with Vodka too ..
Hope you like it.. I have done the sauce/ham in the oven many times and it's great also
Sounds good to me! Thanks![]()
Sounds great, thanks!
