We have always rented a car for prior trips which allowed us to just check in, drive to our room location and unload our own luggage which was very convenient. For our upcoming stay, we will instead be using FLTours for our transporation from MCO to POR and will have to use bell services to get our luggage to our rooms. For anyone who has done this before, is it more of a hassle? Do you have to wait very long if there are a lot of people checking in or are they adequately staffed and get you to your room fairly quickly? I am planning my dinner ressies for the evening of checkin and I'm trying to figure out how much time to alot for getting to our rooms, etc.

RiRaRoMom, I began my last vacation at PO-RS. We used FL Tours as our transportation to the resort (they were wonderful). We checked in fairly late, so there was no wait to get our luggage to our room once we checked in. From the time we arrived at the resort, to the time we arrived in our room, maybe 20 minutes had elapsed (we waited about 5 - 10 minutes to check-in).

On my prior WDW vacation, I began my stay at PO-FQ. I arrived in the early evening and actually had to wait about 20 minutes before my luggage could be delivered to my room (they were very busy when I checked in). From the time we arrived at the resort, to the time that we arrived in our room, probably 50 minutes had elapsed.

If I were you, I'd plan on at least 15 - 20 minutes for checking in, then another 20 minutes for your luggage to be delivered. Of course, things will probably move along quicker for you, but that might be a safe time estimate.
