Well there is one boy in my first Disney that I really thought about shooting.

Flashing back to 2001 ....

Mile 24+, it's warm, I am sunburned, blistered on both feet, I want to stop. This is when the loop around Crescent Lake was on the Boardwalk side. I am pushing the heck out of 7 hours on course at this time. You can imagine how difficult the boards look to me. I can't really run but I know I need to for an "official" finish. I pick up a jog as a fellow runner comes by. I am struggling with all my might to keep it going. I look over at this 8 year old boy, running on the other side of the cones yelling back at dad, "Look I can run faster than that man!" If I could have changed directions and CAUGHT him i'd would have thrown him over the ropes. Today it is one of the three funny stories I remember from that day. I hope he runs Disney some day.
