My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

And the lamp is the best lamp I've ever seen. And I should know...

Hey everyone!

Thank you all for your condolences. It has been tough. I do feel very lucky to have my grandmother as long as I did.

I must apologize for not replying to each of your comments. I'm so behind here and at home. If there are any specific questions I miss, just ask them again!!

One happy note: We have been trying hard to get together with Mike of Be Our Guest Podcast to tape another episode! Things keep coming up, but we will let you know as soon as we have details.

Day Two Part three is with Chuck now, so hopefully we will have a new update soon!!

Another episode? Well, my goodness, I didn't know that you'd taped one. You're celebrities! I just found that podcast recently and enjoy it so I'll have to go back through and see if I can find your episode.

Looking forward to the next update! popcorn::

Lynn said for me to tell you it is episode 14. I've listened to every episode except that one (some kind of weird phobia about hearing my recorded-self).
I like Mike's podcast because it's fun to hear other folk's experiences and adventures at the world.......
and speaking of adventures...........
I am in the process of trying to convince Lynn in letting me get a camper (I'm using Fort Wilderness as a selling point), but unfortunately our little buzz (name of car) is a Impala, so a pop up is about the only thing we can consider.
Anyone have any experiences with pop-up campers that wishes to share (good or bad).

So sorry about the loss of your grandmother.

I must say, I love that lamp. That has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!

I listened yesterday. You guys were great!!! :thumbsup2

I don't know about Lynn but not even Fort Wilderness is enough of a selling point to convince me to go camping. Good luck with that. ;)

Thanks! I love the lamp too. I'm probably gonna wear it out, pushing the button everytime I go by!

Thanks so much for listening! It was fun and we can't wait to do it again!

OKAY, it's not camping per se. It will be in a camper with AC and a shower!! Anything less is out!!! I do have the promise that we will still stay in resorts as well. Being in a camper and still doing all the cooking and cleaning is not exactly a vacation for me!:scared1:

Because SOMEONE is taking his own sweet time commenting on our last update (not mentioning any names, but it starts with a C and ends with a Chuck!) here is Jake's lastest creation!

A little backstory: we have recently become obsessed with Doctor Who. In this episode Doctor Who has been called in to help defend a planet against Zombies. Enjoy! (there is a little Disney guest star to keep it on topic!)

Doctor Who Lego Short

WE finally got to see Indiana Jones! I loved it! There were only two other people in the theater and we had a great time!
We are saving WallE for Chuck's birthday!

Another George Lucas, hmmmm.. Sounds good to me!

BTW, I love your collage. Awesome!

Yeay! I am so glad you liked Indy -- you'll love Wall-E, too! I will have to show Connor Jake's Wall-E creation -- he has been playing Legos all summer long!

Thank you! :goodvibes Natale1980 made it for me! I just love it!

Only one comment on Jake's new creation? Do we have no Doctor Who fans out there?!?!

One update coming right up!!!

Author's Note: This chapter contains what was our last lunch at the Garden Grill. It has since been discontinued. It was our family's all time favorite character meal, and we are all really disappointed that it was our last.

Day Two Part Three

On our way to EPCOT!

We parted with Chuck Parted? You mean bailed! Leaving me to face the hords of tourists in the brutal FL heat alone! at MK and took the Monorail over to EPCOT! IT was only a short wait.

DSCF0577.jpg

We paused by the Wedding Pavillion. I’ve never noticed this Mickey before. Cute!!

DSCF0574.jpg

Do you know all the colors of the monorails? I do.

Red, coral, pink,

Green, Lime, yellow

Black and blue

Silver and gold

Orange and purple.

One of the things on our “list” was to get a picture of every different color monorail while we were there.

I did find one problem with my quest.

It’s hard to tell the different colors when they are not side by side.

I think this is gold.

DSCF0579.jpg

This is green, possibly.

DSCF0575.jpg

And this may be Coral coming to take us to EPCOT!

Here is my friend again!

Did I say I really love Spaceship Earth?

DSCF0584.jpg

Our first stop was the Art of Disney shop. I’ve been thinking of getting another Disney cross stitch kit. They are very expensive!! I didn’t make any final decisions, but I did really like this.

DSCF0585-1.jpg

Another item on our “list”: a cup for Em at Ice Station Cool, excuse me I mean Club Cool.

DSCF0586.jpg

She chose Stitch!

Time for a fountain show before we meet up with Chuck at the Land.

DSCF0590.jpg

On to the Land where we waited for Chuck. We were pretty early yet, so I wasn’t really worried.

But then, he didn’t come. We tried to call.

No answer. We wait. Discuss our morning.

Still no Chuck. I’m a little worried. Am I late, did I get lost? Did the bus break down? Did I go to the wrong park? Did I listen to the peaceful siren song of a quite, cool and unoccupied room when I returned to our room with the balloon and lay down to do a quick inspection of the interior of my eye lids……..Hhmmm..tempting (and actually thought of), but no, I took FOREVER to get to the resort, drop off the balloon and get the other bus back to EPCOT. Or did it?

You know how shiny things catch his eye. Just keep swimming…

We tried to call again. Jake said he would sit near the door (we were over by the checkin podium) to look for him.

I was standing, looking over the rail, just in case Chuck is passing the time sitting in Sunshine Seasons when a man comes up behind me and whispers, “Hey, baby.” In my ear. In my best Barry White voice. Just before I slammed him to the ground and broke his arm, I realize it is Chuck. If she realized it was me, why did she still do it? Somehow he got past Jake. After we get Jake back with us, I asked him what he was doing all that time.

Nothing much, he said.

Hmmm.,…

Soon we were checked in and we waited about ten minutes before we were called. We had a booth near the back and if you know the Garden Grill, it is supposed to rotate. It was not rotating. No complaints here. The back is quiet and this was our view.

DSCF0601.jpg

I love that little house. It’s one of the places I’d like to live in WDW. Number one is that little stone cottage in the garden in Canada. For me if it weren’t for the rain, it would be the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. But I digress….

The waitress asked if we were all adults. We are of course (speak for yourself), but Em ( and Jake though he won’t admit it) like to eat the children’s plate. Ya Chicken Tenders! And their Mac and Cheese are pretty darn tasty as well

And what will we be eating….

Family Style Platterfeaturing:

Buttermilk biscuits Honey-Orange Blossom Butter

Flank Steak with Mushroom Cabernet au Jus

Fried Catfish

Homestyle Potato Casserole

Selection of Fresh Vegetables

And don’t forget…

Young Gardener's Menu
Ages 3 to 9

Choice of:

Chicken Strips

Macaroni and Cheese

Potatoes or French Fries

Fresh Vegetables

The waitress brought coloring pages to entertain us. Jake turned up his nose so Chuck had a go. I’m quite happy that I was able to keep mostly between the lines, although I am disappointed that most people who view my ‘art’ don’t pick up on the post-modern symbolism.

I’m not sure why but I didn’t take a picture of our meal, possibly because we were scarfing it down like mad!! Food! Food! Food!!! – we made the poor server bring us out a second helping (of each) and it would have been more if I had thought to pack some zip-loc’s and my back pack

I’ve got so many pictures, looks like I’m gonna need another chapter!!

Okay....I am caught up.

I am very sorry about your grandmother. :flower3:

I love the picture of Em on the teacups, bravo.

Jake is so talented! I am envious, I don't have the brains or patience to do things like that. :thumbsup2

Hey you! Are you married? Was it awesome? I'm so behind on everyone's threads after the last week, I've started over.
