Please bear with me as a first-timer. Should I call ahead and confirm our reservation, request a building, room location, etc?
We arrive in orlando on sat. at 130 so we should be able to check in fairly early in the day. I assume room assignments are all first-come, first served? We are staying at the poly. Thanks for any last-minute hints!

You can . . .have you checked out the Poly Longhouses on the map?

We stayed at Poly in 2000 . . .it's a wonderful resort and beautiful! We didn't request a Longhouse before we got there and when checking in, they showed us what was available for Lagoon View . . .we were in the Tuvalu Longhouse facing the Castle . .it was a awesome view!

I would request the Longhouse you'd like and if you want a balcony or patio. Unfortunately some of the Longhouses do not have balconies on their 2nd floor (we didn't have one)

Have you checked out www.wdwig.com for restaurants and menus? You might want to make some PS's for b-fast or dinners.

Kona Cafe has awesome Tonga Toast!

Hope this helped! Have a Safe and Great Trip!
