We will be in Orlando on in late January a few days before we get on the cruise,feb1.,,we want to do something for the afternoon as our flight will get in around 1:00pm...any ideas?...our children have not been to Orlando before...we would like to do something other than Disney World as we will be sailing on the Disney Cruise.

We had planned on going to Cape Canaveral during our delay between leaving the ship (8:30ish) and our flight that was supposed to leave 2:00. We unfortunately didn't make it but it's still seems like a great idea. Dependening on the age of your kids and the amount of time you have to spare you can choose frm a guided tour (I think these run two hours) or just a visit to the grounds and a museum tour. There are a lot of options so good luck and enjoy!

You didn't mention the ages of your children, but unless they are very jaded teens, you should reconsider going to WDW. WDW and the cruise are entirely different vacations, you would not feel as if you are repeating yourself at all. If we had never done either and had to choose, WDW would win hands down! Just IMHO.
