While on the last cruise, I thought it was a real pain to have to carry around the mug. I thought "why don't they offer a mug check program?"
This my plan, they could print a couple hundred KTTW type cards that say "BEER MUG" on them. When you buy and mug and finish your beer, you can take to any bar and turn it in for a KTTB (Key To The Beer!) card. Then when you want a malty beverage, you go to your nearest malty beverage location, hand the KTTB card over and Bingo, you get a frothy brew in a fresh, clean mug. Finish your beverage, hand over the mug and receive a KTTB card. No mugs to carry around. How simple is that?
I bet they would sell more mugs if they implemented something like this. I've heard many people say they would like the mug, but didn't like the idea of having to carry them around.
I wish I knew how to send this idea to DCL. Sure would be easy to implement and would provide a great service to customers.
DCL beer drinkers unite - tell them we want our KTTB cards!

to take this to the next step, why not just check it in/out with your KTTW card. Just note on the account whether the mug is checked in or out.
