Beer Mug question

For the beer mug that you can get refilled on the ship, is there any pro/con to buying it in advance (in the in-room gifts section) or should I just wait to get it when onboard the ship. I know that some in-room gift items don't get delivered until the ship is at sea.

Also, if not buying in advance, does any bar on the ship offer the mugs, or do you have to go somewhere in particular?

The only downside on ordering it ahead of time, you will pay sales tax. Gratuity is added either way. All bars should have mugs, ones inside are glass, ones by the pool are plastic. Once you finish a drink you exchange the mug at the bar for a paper token and you present the token the next time for a clean mug. Last drink of the week you can keep the mug. Some people keep the token for future cruises, but it is not guaranteed to work like that in the future.
