Beer at the Parks

To add to this I am a person who enjoys a few drinks on vacation. Especially at WS, since there are so many options! But I admit I really would be turned off if I saw one of those vendors walking around shouting at people to get their beer. I've only seen it once at Fantasmic but it didn't bother me too much in that way because there were heavy lines and it is an arena atmosphere.

I am one of those people walking around having a few beers in the parks. I enjoy the fact that while on vacation I can relax and have a few during the day. As long as people aren't being a disruption there is nor problem with people drinking in the parks. I paid to be there just like you, if I choose to have beers who cares?

Yeah .... if we are going to get rid of something because it bothers me ......... it's going to be those nasty disgusting turkey legs.

I am at the world right now and I have been shocked about the amount of beer being sold at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. They had guys walking around just like it was a baseball game or something yelling out get your beer. One person yelled out "Bud Lite guy". It just seemed tacky to me. I don't mind them selling it as long as everyone is behaving but I didn't pay that much money to come to a vacation like this. Everything else has been great with the lines being low and the weather has been perfect but that one issue leaves a sour taste in my mouth. What does everyone else think?

I think it's been established that:
1. Walking vendors are selling beer outside of Fantasmic! and at other parks
2. They are not yelling "cold beer"

the OP later said, in another post that he didn't see the CM directly yelling "beer" that iit could've been a guests calling for the CM that was selling beer.
Another poster, a CM that used to sell beer also said that they are not supposed to be yelling "beer"

I am back from my trip and did see more vendors through out my trip and did not see nor hear anyone else yelling. It did not in anyway damper my trip and like I stated previously it was hearing someone yell it outside that made me turn and look. Other than that I wouldn't have noticed it. I agree that everyone needs to enjoy there vacation equally. We had a great time overall.

Sometimes people's children annoy me and ruin my experience and alcohol is the only way to improve it to each their own..

My guess would be that the World Series Cubs were coming to the parks. We were there until the 5th and did not hear anyone yelling get your beer. I am sure the DH would have picked up on that, his Halloween shirt said forget the candy give me beer. As long as people are not stumbling around from too many drinks I am fine with beer being sold in the parks. That is why we avoid Epcot after dark and on weekends. AK & Epcot are my DH's favorite parks.

There were vendors walking around selling beers at Hollywood Studios, but didn't hear them yelling anything. I was wondering where the walking margarita vendors were.

Skipped over all posts. I have no issue with drinking at parks. There were a few times when I could have used one However I don't want ANY vendor yelling out their wares. Not popcorn, peanuts, candy apples...etc. Ew. I get that enough at the mall from the makeup carts and such. I don't want to be solicited if I've paid admission to be there. Baseball is different because you are encouraged to sit down during play. For three hours. There is very little that lasts that long at Disney. That's why alcohol is flowing at Hoop. Otherwise let me be.
