I made a roast yesterday. Threw onions, potatoes, carrots into the crockpot topped with the roast. Seasoned with salt, pepper & garlic. Added about a cup of beef stock & cooked on low for about 6 hours. Used a little corn starch to thicken up the "gravy" at the end. It was excellent.
