I've always had the understanding that Disney gift cards used for DVC & other Disney related bills are unable to go past $1,000.

No that hasn't changed Disney Gift cards are limited to $1K but you can use multiple cards to complete the transaction.

As @AngusIsMySpiritAnimal pointed out you can't do it online though. In park/store and over the phone they will take multiple cards.

FWIW, you can use multiple Disney Gift Cards to pay DVC dues online. If you pay by contract (not all at once), you can enter in a specific amount to apply to your dues and not just the whole amount.

No end date is announced. WDWNT has a story on the ap gc here with details. GC varies from $25-$100 depending on type of AP.

Well that’s not fair I had decided not to but I just renewed my AP the other day.

Actually if you don't mind me asking, can you confirm what the discount was when you renewed? Was just posting on the ticket thread as I had thought it was up to 15% but Disney is showing flat discounts on their site of $70-$250.

My nephew and his wife arrived yesterday at Universal Studios for their honeymoon. I didn’t know that’s where they were going until the wedding this past Sat. They are staying the Saphire Falls hotel. Apparently you can’t buy E-Universal gift cards so I tried calling front desk at Saphire Falls I wanted to buy a gift card and have it at front desk for their arrival. Whoever I spoke with told that it wasn’t possible to do this.

Keep in mind that the hotels are run by Loews -not Universal. It tracks that you wouldn't be able to do what you are asking.

You might have a better chance of doing this through the Universal merchandise number, but it's probably a long shot.

My guess is with everything down for renovations or new construction... some AP holders have opted to take a year or two off... or just the economic of today's world. Thus Disney see enough of a decline in AP sales that they need to discount them in some way. Usually the do the extra month(s) on the ticket, but they are trying something new.

I'm not even sure how long we had APs... went back to before COVID as we had no issue renewing once they issue them again. But just wanting to do other things with our vacation time, as Disney hasn't changed much... and it will be a while before these major changes come back online.

You got the $150 so the flat rate vs percentage was already in effect it seems like as 15% would have been $161.85 on a Sorcerer.

Our APs expire at the end of the year and we're not renewing because we want to do more DCL to try the new ships, maybe even see HKDL finally. So we don't plan to go back to WDW until late 2027 or sometime in 2028. I hope this isn't a one-time thing and this deal comes back sometime before then!
