We are looking into a one bedroom visit. Just how comfy are the pullout mattresses? Sometimes these can be super thin and not easy to sleep on. Just wondering.

Many of the older ones have been replaced. The newer resorts (SSR and up) have installed memory foam type mattresses.

My son gets the honor most of the time, but I sleep on the sleeper sofa every so often.

The pullouts are much better than the old ones. They don't have the old 'bar' in the middle of your back anymore.

There are two types. The photo sequence below shows the type as SSR.

The ones at OKW are very simlar to the ones at SSR too. They pull out that same way and are much more comfy than the old "bar in the back" style. There have been a few reports of a few old style remaining at OKW though.

do the studios at AKV have the new memory foam mattresses?

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the pics and that great link - it was fun too:goodvibes

And here is a link to show how the new ones at BWV work (keep clicking on the forward arrow in the upper right):

The ones like this at BCV were nice to sleep on, but terrible for sitting. Way too hard and the fabric felt like sandpaper. The ones at SSR were more comfortable for sitting and sleeping was pretty good, too.
