Becoming Lean, Mean, Endurace Event Machines in 2008

Maria: :rotfl: This morning you made me smile!!! :goodvibes Love the DVC joke!!

Dave: I am feeling stronger and nearly back to normal and, hey, you just like the running skirt in front of you!!! ;)

Good morning Leaners. :goodvibes

So are we the only ones not in WDW right now? :confused3

Debra, I did have my massage yesterday and it ROCKED! I love this girl. Best massage ever. She stretched me all kinds of different ways. I've never had a massage quite like it. She really worked my quads, but I'm afraid to say I woke up with my left one still hurting. :headache:

Monday I go to my first PT.

As for the tuck it is looking like it is a go. I still need to make the appointment, thinking it is gonna be in early June. I went to my second consult and I think this is the doc I'm gonna use. This will definitely keep me from running, but now seems like the time to do it. Hopefully, I'll be back up to at least a walk / run program for the half in January. I will definitely have to start from square one after that surgery. DH says he will not let me be swept! I'll definitely post back when it is a definite go.

Off to a field trip with the first graders! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning, Lean Meaners!
Lisa & Debra....I will continue to try to make plank my friend. Like Deb imagines herself fast as a Kenyan, I will imagine myself straight as a...well as a plank. As it turns out my plank is a little warped!:lmao:
Shan...I love fieldtrips! I know that's a little warped, they just bring back wonderful memories and the kiddos are so excited to go. I hope you had fun!
Maria...you crack me up. Pull me up on the wagon, I keep stumbling off. At least I'm running to catch you again. :rotfl2:
Panda...Did I hear that you're chasing skirts?
Lisa....just reading "mountain climber" makes me shiver!
Debra...I'm with you, I always loved school. I hope you got a rest in and you're feeling better. I swear that spring/summer colds are the worst.
Vic...my DH and I saw the pic of the guy at Talladega. WOW! DH said he heard that it was a drunk fest, but that guy takes the cake!
Beth...smart wearing the Garmin to cut grass. When it takes 1.5 miles to cut it, that's definite exercise!
Mike...what a workout!
We're headed to the lake for the weekend. Sad for us, we have to sell our lake place. We keep praying that DH will find a new job soon, but the housing market is rough right now. So we're going to sell and buy again (hopefully) in the future when the market turns. At least we get to enjoy the weekend and run along the water and country roads.:) Take care all, stay strong, and have a wonderful weekend!

:lmao: Tracey, warped plank, you guys are killin me today. :lmao:

Oh and wherein I would LOVE to run like a Kenyan, my 5'4" frame would never pass for one. I always envy those with long lean muscle fibers. I have those short beefy "big girl" fibers that bulk up ever so nicely.

My mom had a saying ((((about our cat at the time))))) that she was made of Russian peasant stock! I guess that translates well for me.....I am not fat, I am descentant from Russian Peasant stock!!!:rotfl2: If only I could be small, petite and light weight! But, that's not in the cards for me! I just have to make do with what I got1 :confused3 At least WWDave thinks I am a pretty princess! :cloud9:

That wagon is REALLY hard to jump up into......could somebody lend me a hand???? I am not doing TOO bad, but it could be so much better! I am really hungry right now, for some reason, and it's hard to stay strong when I am starving! I will continue to do my best though......

Debra: How is the house hunting?? I hope you find something you love!

WWDave: I am hoping for the best for the soon to be resusitated iPod....I hope it has some more life to it! How is Erica?

Lisa: Sorry about your crummy weather.....makes it hard to get a workout in!

Shan: Glad you had a good massage....hope that the leg pain goes away! :wizard:

To all of us poor souls not at the Minnie......:dance3: Have a good weekend!

Beth

Yee Haw!

Ok, everybody, hop on the wagon 'cause it's headed your way -- see that hand reaching down from the back? That's our trusty Lean Mean Brigade, ready to pull you up and head off to WDW.

Please be careful pulling some of us up. You could seriuosly strain some muscles with me, even with everyone doing some form of core strengthening(I'll count warped planks, but not sure if the "experts" will).

Just to help you out some, I have dropped 3 more lbs so far this week with some eating changes and slowly started back up with some workouts. Plan to keep going this time while keeping the body cooperating and will let you know if I need a tug once I get the first number in the weight to change (short term goal is to drop it by one number, long term goal is to drop it by two numbers -- don't worry all as once I get there, I'll still easily qualify for the Clydesdale division in events and will be well within the obese/morbidly obese category by chart standards).

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Everyone's continued commitment and support to each other is appreciated.

Good luck to the Minnie folks!!!!

Deb not sure any Disney events are in the cards for me this year...travel and work schedules are pretty full...

Mike's Place

Feeling very weak and loserish today.

I got in 30 minutes of a 50 minute planned swim ((they re-did the lane configuration (and I would have had to circle swim...which I HATE); then my foot started to cramp of all things so I just quit on the swim...not good for my self image) , and none of the 45 minute run...just feeling tired in my bones, and can't seem to get up enough gumption to go run or walk...

This doesn't bode well for the long workouts tomorrow...

Does the wagon come to Chicago?

Mike: I think the wagon can be detoured to Chicago! Maybe we can stop and run the Chicago Distance Classic......would love another Penguin medal for my collection. The wagon is getting pretty full anyway, we will need a lay-over!

I didn't feel like running yesterday.....still working out the sore muscles from my 1/2 on Sunday. But, I took a nice, slow recovery run with some walking for 5 miles.....better than nothing. I had to really talk myself into it though.

Eating was good yesterday....yipee!

Bill: Yeah for the 3 pounds!!!!   You are on your way!!!!!!

It will probably be really quiet around here since the lucky ones of us are in Disney!!! I hope everyone else has a good weekend!

Beth

Good Saturday afternoon, Lean Meaners! I'm being a good girl, and resting after my 8 miler today--am officially in taper for the Cleveland 1/2 marathon--and thought I would check in and catch up.

Lisa: So, I'm officially counting you as my running buddy for ToT! :cool1: You have made my week! And I'll be your cheerleader/nag for the Goofy 2010 as I'm definitely going Goofy then. I'll just be your cheerleader for any tri, unless I get over my morbid fear of water anytime soon... I'm sure DOOD would love running partners, even if they would "hold him back" a bit. (He's hoping for a 3:30 marathon in a couple of weeks, although I suspect he'd be happy with a 3:40 with the way his training has been going.) I think he likes the idea of having fun events to look forward to--and me, I'm all about the fun.

Your bike ride sounds, well, challenging and I understand why your quads were sore. I have a hybrid mountain/road bike and it's really not made for much speed. I can't imagine what it must have been like in the sleet and cold. I have to say everyone in your family are hard-core, outdoorsy athletes, and am impressed by your biking, DD's team playing in the weather (screw the defeat), and (whose?) baseball practice. :woohoo: I just know you'll adjust your eating habits to fit the activity and everything out of whack will be in whack soon--what's a whack, anyway? (Loved that sign on the course!)

Maria: Got room for one more on that there wagon? Dagnabbit, I need to get on that mule train, head south, and outpace those pesky pound varmits before they decide to homestead permanently on my body. I don't take no cotton to squatters. :rotfl2:

Dave: I hope your little iPod feels the effect of your nurturing love and comes back to life soon. That's a FANTASTIC pace you're setting with your walking--I truly believe your stretching, core work, and regular rests are doing wonders for your training. You're an example for us all.

Shan: I'm glad you had such a great massage, even though it's rotten news that the left quad still hurts. Hopefully PT can address these issues in a way that shows quick progress. And I don't know, maybe this all happened for a reason, allow you to get your tuck (:thumbsup2), get a nice foundation of XT and PT in to help you avoid serious injury, and still do the half. Don't worry, you won't get swept: not only will DH be there for you, and we'll be there, but I know you have the strength and determination to do it all on your own--if you had to. :goodvibes

Tracey: I'll be working on my plank too--thank goodness I don't have the issues Lisa does--and would like mine to be straight and true. Of course wanting to have a strong plank position would do much to rewrite bad memories, having spent much time in my adolescence being told I was "flat as a board." :rotfl2: Now, of course, I want that boardlike form!

I'm so sorry that you have to sell your lake house! That's rough, even though you have such a great attitude about things. I'll keep my fingers crossed and think positively about your DH's job search. I hope you're having a great weekend at the house right now, as I type.

Beth: There's always room in the wagon for one more, and I offer my hand--the one that's not thinking of opening the fridge, anyway. (It does so have a mind of its own.) I hope your hunger is manageable this weekend, especially as you're recovering and (wisely) logging slower distances.

Bill: 3 pounds!! :cheer2: That's great news, that and your core work. (I'm trying to keep track of the core thread, too.) You are the WAGON MASTER!!

Mike: I'm sorry to hear that you might not be at a Disney event. Do you do the Chicago marathon? DOOD did it last year--finished--and might want to try it again for a better time, both pace-wise and event-wise. Actually, he quite enjoyed the spectators at Chicago.

Sorry about your swim and cramps, and what sounds like a pretty frustrating WO day. It sounds like the wagon's going to be pretty full, but I can't think of anyone I'd rather ride with.... No losers, here, though. Just determined Lean Meaners!

As for me: Yesterday's schedule got a little out of control and frustrating, as we looked at more places yesterday. Nothing good, I'm afraid. And every single person we were supposed to meet was late. The first person didn't even show! So it was a waste of time, although I have a new theory. The niceness of the rental place can be determined by how late the rental agent is to the appointment--the nicest places we've seen have agents who are prompt. The longer waits have all been dives. What does that say about all the people who don't even bother to call back?

*Sigh* We have more appointments next week, so hopefully we'll see "the one." Meanwhile, our landlady keeps sending us emails from all her friends who have places available--places in locations we know we're not interested in. Anyway, I know you're all sending PD my way and I want you to know I really appreciate it. The overall situation isn't a big deal, I know it, but it hurt to cancel the trip to Cambridge.

In GOOD news, my 8 miler did better than I expected given my spring cold and I was on a TM. (More rain this morning, and running in the rain isn't so good for my blisters.) I finished in 96 minutes, which included my warm-up and used intervals. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the 1/2 in a couple of weeks, and then I'll make a decision as to how to train for the full.

I hope the rest of you are enjoying your weekend, hopefully with sunny skies and good WOs!

Dave: I don't know of any CPR for I-Pods, but i have, in the past, successfully put electronics in the oven on warm for a few hours to dry them out.

Bill:Nice work on the lbs...measurable progress in reasonable time is all I ever hope for :thumbsup2

Shan: Here's hoping for quick recovery, and a successful half!

Tracey: Sorry as well about the lake house and hubby's job...good vibes coming your way from Chicago!:goodvibes

Beth: Thanks for sending the wagon...sometimes we all need a lift!

Deb: sorry to hear about your search experiences. Whether or not people are on time is probably a reasonable proxy for how well they will respond to issues that might arise during your tenancy...if they can't be counted on to deliver themselves at the appointed time and place, they probably can't be counted on to fix leaks, etc.

I haven't done the Chicago marathon...I really just got into the whole endurance thing last year...I was injured before the Chicago 1/2...where I met some of the WISHers... Depending on when it is, I might try it...if the training for the 1/2 IM doesn't kill me first :lmao: Let me know for sure if you folks (or anyone else on the thread) is coming up...we can hang out!

Mike's Place 46.3 Miles in 2:45:00, top speed of 36.7...very rough day, LOTS of headwind. 1 mile brick afterward...I need a NAP!!!

LOTS of work the last week with DD on her math..which I scarcely remember...but she has come home with unacceptable grades on the last 5 tests...I only knew about the most recent one...apparently she was trying to fix it herself...so now I am the bad guy, sitting next to her, forcing her to re-do homework and tests until they are right....oh, well, I'm catching up on some reading, while basking in the glow of the white hot hate I can feel emanating from every pore of my little princess...:rotfl:

Tomorrow is 30:00 swim, 80:00 run with hills :scared1:

Have a great weekend meaners!!!!

Good early Sunday morning my Lean Mean buddies!! I missed you in my short hiatus. Yesterday was laundry and then pitching practice for an hour with DD13 with mommy catcher. Apparently mommy catcher is not quite as critical as daddy catcher. So, I got DD13 to walk 0.5 miles before practice to warm up and wait for everyone and then caught which if anyone is in search of a superior leg workout, that would be it. :thumbsup2

Mike: iPod CPR :lmao: Again with you guys cracking me up!! If you ever feel the need to post miles in the team challenge, you are welcome in the Super Goof camp. We could use your miles and your personality. And against all rumors from the other teams, we do not bite.....:rotfl:

Dave: The core work is paying off and I am so happy for you. Your pace is frighteningly fast for us slower runners. At DD13's last softball game they were having a track meet next to the field and I saw all the race walkers and thought of you. Some of them were really moving!!

Debra: We have a date for ToT. Now I am even more excited than before :hyper: Do you have any travel plans yet? We are 10/24 to 10/28 at CBR. Oh and if you don't have plans, my 42nd b-day is 10/27 so more fun to come!!!

Also, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your miles/hours donation to Cecilia. I know that she appreciates it as well as does the rest of the team. Your generosity is unequivocal. Wow that was a big word for 5 in the morning!! :surfweb: Thank you again from all the Super Goofs.

Tracey: Sorry about the lake house. It sounds like you have good memories though and those last forever. Keep them in your heart and try to forget the rest. This too shall pass. :flower3:

Shan: Yay for your great massage. Sorry for the continued soreness. Sending PD and good thoughts that the massage will work. Heck, I think any excuse for a massage is a good one. Oh wait, I never need an excuse...:rotfl2:

Wagonmaster Bill: I am so glad to see that the current plan is working for you. I truly hope that you can reach some of your goals and that we have huge celebrations for ToT. This one should be far more enjoyable and healthy for you as you continue on your journey. And remember, Guinness has iron so it's good for you....Oh wait, wrong discussion :rolleyes1

All other Lean Meaners: I hope that your day is bright and sunny and you make progress toward your goals. Everyone here is so wonderful and supportive (and yes, funny too) that you all deserve nothing but the best. So, I will leave now...:sad2:

JK. From the Great North Woods, it is raining and yucky. Supposed to be nice and sunny but yesterday and today not so much. The Model A is rolled back in the garage for another day to clean and wax it. My run plans are rolled away and waiting for a better day. I was contemplating extending my run past 3 miles this weekend but I guess a higher power is telling me it is not time yet. I caught and did the 0.5 miles, today is still up in the air. Kidlet birthday party at 1 today. Tomorrow is another day, I may try the extended run on Wednesday instead and see how that works for me.

Everyone have a great day. And sending so much PD and fleet feet to the Minnie's for today!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:

Hi Leaner Meaners!!

I haven't had a chance to catch up this week. But CONGRAULATIONS to Bill on contiued weight loss!!

Lisa and Debra, team buddies! I love it!

Maria! You are always so good about lending a hand!!!

Everyone I missed (and that's pretty much everyone) THe half was wonderful! The support was absolutely amazing! The friendliness and the kindness astounding. Report coming soon!

Cecilia, I hope everything is okay. I will donate some miles if you still need them!

I haven't lost weight. But then, I pigged out pretty badly. Races always do that to me. Control, I need some control!!! LOL

SEe ya later.

Hi Guys and pretty princesses.

My iPod is still down for the count. It was my silver colored one but I have Erica's old hand me down Mini in pastel blue to use. I have most of my music on it so life is good.

Here is some stuff I like to exercise to:

Whip It

Radar Love

Tainted Love

How Bad Do You Want It

We are the Champion's

We Will We Will Rock You

Shake it Up

Slim Shady

In The Summer Time

Going The Distance

Artists I like a lot of older rock like Queen, CCR and Stephen Wolf. Im like country like Tim McGraw, Shania Twain and Trace Adkins. Madana and Fergie have some fun stuff out that I like watching on the Videos while usuing the treadmill.

Today is a rest day so just relaxing and boreing my WISH friends to tears before I head off to work.

Have a wonderfull day everyone.

Resting Panda:hippie:

Dave -- you are never boring! I love to see what other people listen to. At this point, that's the best way I get ideas to add something new to the ipod, which is essential to alleviate boredom!

My most recent additions:

Olympic Fanfare and Theme --John Williams
How Far We've Come -- Matchbox 20
I Ran -- A Flock of Seagulls
Tainted Love -- Soft Cell
Sister Golden Hair -- America
Paralyzer -- Finger Eleven
Nite Runner -- Duran Duran

My most often played:

Still the One -- Orleans
I Think I Love You -- David Cassidy
We Got the Beat -- the GoGos
Take a Chance on Me -- Abba
Rebel Yell -- Billy Idol
You Give Love a Bad Name -- Bon Jovi

I also have a ridiculous amount of Duran Duran and Sammy Hagar (some solo and some Van Halen), and plenty of songs everyone knows from the 80s -- if the brat pack was involved, or if Tom Cruise made a movie where he was the *best* whatever, I probably have music from that soundtrack.

I love Queen, too, but I want to sing along too badly! I'll be adding Radar Love to my playlist, there's another good one I forgot about! :goodvibes

My dh likes to watch Fergie videos, while he's on the TM, too. He turns off the volume and listens to his music, but it seems he enjoys her...movements. :rotfl:

I'm psyched because I made our reservations for marathon weekend. As of right now, we're trying CSR. We've never stayed there. As long as I can get the AAA rate, that's where we'll stay. Last year I had POFQ, but they didn't have any AAA rooms, so we moved our reservation to POR. Both are lovely, but I wanted to try a new resort. We haven't been disappointed yet.

Maria :dance3:

Maggie and I went to see that Sarah Marshall movie...very funny, but lots of swearing and some full frontal (male).

Then we went to see one of my neighbors in her first public singing event (never mind that her daughter has won the local "Idol" contest 3 years running)...the band was fantastic, VERY tight musically, and they had great range, everything from Brownsville Station, to the Stones, Boston, Fergie, Pat Benetar, Pretenders...really a lot of fun...which made the 0700 30 minute swim a bit difficult and the 8 miles in 80 minutes (just completed, I think thats about a 10 minute mile, but I'm a bit woozy now) less fun than you might think.

But its an awesome day outside, and now me and the 4 yr old are going to plant some perennials around one of the trees...

I'll post up music later, but I need a shower, stat!

Have a wonderful day meaners!!!!

Mike

Mike: I agree with your assessment of the lessors and bow to your experience as one, as well. We won't be renting from anyone who operates in an unprofessional manner. It sounds like you kind of enjoy being the evil dad when it comes to homework. If you could just bottle the white hot hate of your princess it might even as an energy source to help fuel your WOs.

Speaking of WOs, I'm sure you're going to do well with the 1/2 IM and we'll be hearing that you've signed up for October Chicago Marathon (although registration has closed for 2008 unless you go through a charity or tour group). We also missed this year's deadline, which is too bad because DOOD says it's a flat, beginner-friendly course. The Chicago 1/2 is still open, so maybe I'll try to talk DOOD into that one; he has family in the Rockford area, and we'd love to hang out with WISHers. (Okay, I would, and know DOOD would enjoy meeting you once he, well, met you.)

I, too, say Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was all right, but not nearly racy enough for me. ;) Besides, I'd much rather have listened to your neighbor's set--it sounds great! (And worth the tough WO, I presume?)

P.S. The Super Goofs don't bite, but I do think they nibble a bit. :lmao:

Lisa: I'm not sure if my legs are up to the challenge of being a catcher, but I'm glad yours are. My quads hurt just thinking about it. I've noticed that when I watch others' activities--sports, theater, film--I tend to think about whether I could do what they're doing. Weird, huh? But good for getting me off my duff. As is reading about all your activities; good luck with the future sunshine & running plans.

We have yet to solidify our plans for ToT. A lot depends on DOOD's fall teaching schedule, which hasn't yet been approved by the university. But it's looking good for a long weekend, so I'm pencilling in your b-day so I know when it is for making travel plans!

Last note: You own a Model A?

Connie: I read your RR before I dropped by here. It sounds wonderful, the kind of event DOOD & I would like to do. It might be a hard schedule for him, with the end-of-semester and all. And I found myself thinking, "Gee, what happens when I start going to races by myself?" Wow, that was really weird--in a good way. Now that your race is over, join us on the wagon, where I'm sure at least one of us is in control (not saying it's me, mind you, just one of us).

Dave and Maria: Ooooh, playlists! Love 'em, and I could discuss them endlessly. I think almost everyone I know has "Tainted Love" on their lists, albeit different versions. I have the Soft Cell version as well as the one by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. (What don't I own by the latter?) I tend to listen to a lot of Motown and punk, with some garage rock--love The White Stripes to run to--thrown in. For nostalgia, I'll listen to New Wave, too: "Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads is a favorite. And who doesn't love Queen?

Odd memory: "Take a Chance on Me." My very first memory of that is as done by The Muppets, with birds on a high wire. Anyone else remember that? Speaking of covers and the Muppets, I love Me First and the Gimme Gimmees' version of "Rainbow Connection." (It all comes back to them.)

Dave: I hope your work day went swimmingly and you can get back to entertaining us--you never bore me!

Maria: I notice it's Van Halen and Hagar, not pretty-boy Roth. Good choice. And I'm so jealous that you've already reserved for marathon weekend. We need to do that, but $$$ is sort of tight right now and so we're deferring the pleasure. DOOD has stayed at CSR (I haven't; that's a weird twist), and he said it reminded him of POFQ but more remote. I'm not sure what he means by that, but there it is.

As for me: Some XT today and lots of stretching. The shins are a bit sore, so I think I'll shift my WO days a bit & keep to Pilates & weights tomorrow--unless tomorrow ends up being a total rest day. You've got me thinking about my iPod mix, too, so I might play with that in case the latter occurs.

Oh, and in football news (that's soccer to you Yanks), it looks like Jose Mourhino might be headed for Barcelona. Unless he's not. There's a flurry of gossip about it, and most folks (myself included) thought he was headed to Milan. And still could be, as the dissemination of sports disinformation continues. Wow, it's exciting. (I've tried to get into the Pgh Penguins, I have. Maybe next year.)

Good morning Lean Meaners. I know, late for me but better late than never. I actually had a lot of work this morning to catch up on and well, money rules if you want to go to WDW!!

Connie: Love the RR on OKC. It has me pretty excited for next year. Did you hear that Debra, next year, 2009, OKC half marathon.....:rolleyes1

Dave and Maria: I have specific playlists for my daily moods. I have an 80s with my favorites for years past. I have current music for my hip-hop days. I have Big Hair which is one of my favorites....80s big hair bands, you gotta love em. I also have one 30 minute highly motivational instrumental playlist which is my 5K pacing playlist, high BPM rate. I always like looking at what others are motivated by though. :surfweb:

Moviegoers: Thanks for the full frontal heads up. I have a DD13 who thinks that anything PG-13 is a good movie to see so the more you keep me informed the better!! :scared1:

Debra: Yes, I have a 1931 Model A Ford tudor coupe. My dad's very first car and the car I went to the prom and my wedding in. I have a very hard time driving/riding in it, polishing it, etcetera. :guilty: I really miss my dad a lot and it reminds me of restoring it and the fun we had together. I also learned to drive a stick on it. Funny how these things bring back lots of memories. I had a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 that I sold to make room for the Model A. Dad and I restored the Mustang too. A sad day seeing it go but the A is more important in the long run. I had it out washing it this weekend and DD13 said she would like to go to her prom in it too.....:sad1: Did I mention how much I miss my dad?

On a happier note, catching, born and bred for it. Second nature. DH catches sitting on a padded bucket. If an cannot move, I cannot catch. I fell off the bucket more than once trying to lunge sideways. My quads do hurt afterward but in a happy way. DD has tried her hand at catching too. She made me proud the day she smothered the plate, dropped her shoulder and, well you can guess the rest of the story. :woohoo: :sad2: :woohoo: From DH I get "hmmm, wonder where she got that from"..

I have a grand plan today. I was going to run my loop but I remembered it was strength day so I plan to park at DD's school, run to the gym (2 miles), lift upper body (hey I am psychotic but not enough to lift legs and then run... ) and then run back to the school in time for softball practice to get out. Then I have to walk with DH tonight since it FINALLY stopped raining here.

Have a Lean Mean day everyone and does anyone know where we left Vic and Bill????????? :magnify:

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Lean Meaners!
Wow, I thought it would be a slow weekend over here, but y'all were chatty. I read everyone's posts and will try to catch up later. Congrats for pounds lost and successful workouts. I ran my 3 miles(even though I felt like stopping at 1 1/2). The kidlets fished alot and caught some crappie, which are now fileted and frozen. Thanks for well wishes for life around here. I'm confident that things will get better. The running helps clear my head and y'all keep my spirits up!:) Looks like all the folks at Minnie had a wonderful time. I can't wait to read more reports and it makes me even more excited for the 1/2 in Jan. Maria...we've stayed at CSR several times and love it! We learned (on our 1st trip) to try not use bus stop #1 in the morning. The buses stop at #1 last and sometimes they are so full that they just skip it. The food court is fantastic. I think that you'll really be pleased.
Gotta go. Have a good one!

Good morning Lean Meaners!!! I guess I didn't post yesterday???? I don't know why.....I read the thread and moved on I guess!

I wasn't perfect over the weekend, but not to bad either. For some reason I felt thinner in my clothes this morning, but to late to weigh in. Maybe tomorrow.

Lisa: I understand the missing of your dad. My mom meant the same thing to me. I can't really believe she's been gone for 7 years already......I still miss her everyday :guilty: I actually had a dream about her the other night, and I woke up thinking that I should call her! I wish it were that easy!

Dave, Maria, and Debra: You guys are so good! You even know the names of your songs! My dh downloads music for me, picking ones he thinks I would like. I listen to a wide range of music......but I don't know any names or song titles!:sad2: :sad2: I will hear something on the radio, know all the words, but still be surprised by the artist and song title! How sad is that???

Well, I have a busy day in store for me with Nancy gone......I better get to work! Did I say that I miss Nancy???????:sad1:
