Beckie's Babblings- on the "beach" (comments welcome)

I was doing realy well , and for no reason I can pinpoint , I ate two sugar cookies(homemade) , mac n'cheese, scoop of ice cream, and 2 chicken strips. I worked from 8-4 today. Finally ggot home at 6:30. Doing laundry , did dishes , ect.. I'm really shot . Need some sleep to rejuvenate so I can get back on the plan tomorrow. Not going to get down on me or get angry. Just blow it off and start again. Just a trip and fall. Time to get up. Really busy week!! need to be focused and centered. Would really like some time for me but it will be tough to carve any out. I'll check in tomorrow with a beter outlook and a smile.

As they say, today is a new day!! It's ok to fall down once in a while, just dust yourself off and pick up the pieces and move on!

Hope you have a great Monday!

hey beckie, first off, congrats on your 10 pound clippie and breaking through that plateau!!! :bounce:

as for falling off plan yesterday, well, it happens. all of us have done it, you just have to pick yourself up and get right back on plan.

hope you have a chance to get some time to yourself during your busy week, we all surely need some of that! :bounce:

I know that it was a rough start when my husband asked was it Sat. or Sun and I had to tell him it was Mon. It snowed about 1/2 inch. Cold and windy again. won't be nice until late this week. Really am tired of winter. I got back on track for most of the day. Lost it for a piece of homemade bread tonight. Need to get on the solid track tomorrow and stay there. Don't know why I lost my motivation after such a great weekend before Sun. Didn't get in a fight and wasn't disappointed or upset. Just kind of blue. Usually doesn't get me down so much . Oh well, get focused and move forward asap. I'll feel much better with some movement.

Beckie, you've got the right outlook. A little exercise, drinking more water....you'll be back on track in no time!

:jumping3: :jumping1: 10 POUNDS GONE!!! :jumping1: :jumping3:

Way to go on getting that beautiful 10 pound clippie!!

Now, back to business, Beckie!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

beckie, i think the weather definitely has an affect on your outlook. it's hard to be cheery and positive when it's wintery outside. i hope that you're feeling better after the weekend, and that you've gotten back on track. here's some :sunny: to shine on you :bounce:

Thank you Marcia! I'm getting there. Yesterday was 45 and sunny I got in a 2 mi run walk. My knee is great! I'm so glad! Stayed on plan all day. TOM showed up and that must have been the boues that I was feeling, Marked my calendar wrong. Though it wasn't due for 6 more days. The whoosh fair came with it and I am down to where I was hoping to be by 4/1 challenge. Not to Onerland yet but I can see it from here. Made a geat salad with sliced cucs, chopped tom. and chopped onion and sour cream ranch dressing. Low carb and great tasting, Need to get back to cooking supper each night,. Been running my girls every night and just don't have the time to cook. Today should be another good day!

Well, the no foolin around challenge is done and I lost 8 of 11 #s. Not to bad. Hnging in there at 203. Hoping to break into Onerland this next week. TOM is here but I am doning fine. Tons of paperwork to tke care of today ! Will feel good when the day is done. Suppose to break 50 today and possible 70 over the weekend. That shoud energize everyone. Staying on plan. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Sending you lots of :sunny: for this weekend! Sounds like it will be perfect out there! 8 of 11 is not bad at all!!!! Your right on par!

Hope you have a great Friday!

Could you tell I wrote that last entry at 6:00am while waiting for the coffee to brew. My spelling is usually not that bad and my proofing a little better. Gorgeous day today. Get done teaching at 3:30 and off to job 2 from 4-10. I save that $$ for my trip. I set up a walk/run plan for Sat. and Sun. then Tues. THurs. I need to do the weekends because of the extra time and Tues. Thurs. are days without kids activities right now. This will change in a month though but it will keep me moving. I noticed my bras are not cutting me in half. A friend said I've lost so much in my face!! Nice to hear it from someone. I'm getting my motivation back. Thanks for struggling through that last read. Hope you all have fabulous weekends!!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Well, I stayed on plan with the exception of two beverages on Fri. Night. I ran on Sun. am. I set the clocks back Sat. nd needed to leave for a Dance competion by 8:00 am Sun. I got up and went for a run. It seemed so dark and cold. Duh! It was really 5:00am not 6:00 am according to my body and the daylight. I made it though. I'm wearing a snug pair of 16L levis today. Haven't worn them for well over year. No weight lose in 6 days but I couldn't get these on last week so somethings going on. I'[ll take it!! Hoping to run tomorrow. Pretty tight schedule though. Much to fit in one day. Try the Subway Spinach salad. Yummy!!

Hi Beckie,

Sorry I haven't been around. Congratulations on fitting in those jeans. That is AWESOME! Do you measure? If not, take your measurements today, and do them monthly. It really does help when the scale won't budge.

 ,
Beth

I have been so good on the food end. No weight loss yet and I can almost touch Oner land. It is only 3 #s away. I know I'll get there but am so anxious. I put on an Old Navy demin skirt that I wore a month ago. It weas really tight then but is almost loose now. I love it! I have 4 really nice skirts that I'll be able to wear in about 5 #s. I love "new clothes"!! I also have 4 pair of dress pants that I will be able to wear. I will have so many choices . It's so depressing to wear the same 4 outfits over and over because they are all that I fit into and I refuse to buy any more "big" sizes because they will all be too big soon. Thank goodness for the piles of clothes that I used to wear. Today I will work on the Water intake. Have let that slide a bit. Not going to get my run in though.

hi beckie, sorry i haven't been by in a while, but i've gotten to catch up with your journal today!

that's so great that smaller clothes are starting to fit. i agree with beth...take those measurements! even when the scale isn't moving, those inches tend to keep coming off, so it's nice to see that progress ::yes::

hope your weather is okay so you get to get out and get in your runs! have a great day :sunny:

Either your clothes are getting bigger or you're getting smaller, Beckie!! Good for you!! Isn't it great to get those "back of the closet" clothes out again??

Glad things are going well for you, despite your hectic schedule. Those 3 pounds will be history soon, girlfriend!! ::yes::

Thank you Doreen! I love the clothes line. I had an amazing fight with myself last night and won!! My daughter unexpectedly got a babysitting job across town. I was so looking forward to coming home finally at 8:00pm but she called and needed her textbooks to study for tests today. I got the books and drove them to her. All the way there I said"I am going to DQ and getting an Extreme Choc. Blizzard!! Maybe even a large!!" When I was on my way to DQ I snapped out of it and decided to go to the grocery store and buy 2 boxes of low carb ice bars and eat them all. I went and bought them and ate two on the way home. I was fine by then. Go figure!! One of my better moves. Today was good but I was low energy. Am hoping to go running in the a.m. I order a book called " No need for speed" It is about the joy of running and planning your workout to get in shape for running. I got my new running shoes today and am looking forward to wearing them soon. I don't have to work tomorrow so I think a morning run is on the agenda. I will working on spring cleaning and sorting. Would love to pack away the sweaters and stuff but it is supposed to snow on Sat. We can't get away from winter's grip at this time of the year. I have so much brush clearing and landscaping to do I should burn a 1000 calories a day when it warms up.
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc (Have to do for bunnies)

Great morning!! Got a 3 mi. run/walk in by 9:30. Cleaned up and sorted some boxes in the garage. Sealed the basement doors. Did mounds of laundry. Stayed on plan. Had 2 scrambeled eggs for bKFt. Luch was a Sweet Potatoe, snack - 1 of my low carb ice cream bars, Having Swiss steak tonight for supper. Still stuck at 202 . patiently waiting for ONErland. It is spitting snow outside. Yuk!! Grey and Dismal. Got out some summer clothes(capris, short sleeved tops) I'm just hopeful Spring might get here. Hope the pants are too big! Wouldn't that be a treat!

Had great weekend! Ran both Fri and Sat. Ate on Sun but mostly on plan with the exception of Cheesecake. Stepped on the scale and am at 201. Only 2 pounds to get to Onerland!! Tried on a pair of Khakis that were too tight to wear 2 weeks ago and they fit just fine. Only lost 2 #s but hugh difference. Finally we are out of the deep freeze. There was frost on the windows this a.m. but it was gone in an hour. Love the spring. Weather has been cold for 4 days . Wore winter jackets to Easter service. Sun just broke through the clouds and it looks like a great day for a run. Hope it holds for the next hour. Dug out all my summer type work clothes. I was amazed at the amount of color in those clothes and the lack of color in my winter clothes. No wonder you get so down in the winter. Note to self- Add bright colored sweaters to (smaller sized) wardrobe next year!!! Really glad I started this in Feb. and can continue into the summer. I shoud be able to wear all those cute shorts I have packed away,soon!!:wave2: :sunny:

Beckie, you're SO CLOSE to Onederland!! I'm so excited for you!! All that running has gotta be helping - you are an exercise inspiration!! Just keep trying on those smaller clothes - great incentive for staying on plan!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!! :sunny:

Got a run in yesterday. Ordered a new pedometer and was excited to use it. I ran/walked 2.20 miles. in 33 min. Felt so good to do it . My 14 year old laughs at my gitup. I just put on what doesn't bind and won't get in my way. A coworker stopped me and said they thought I looked really good. It is starting to show even if I can not dynomite the scale below 201. I'll just keep at it and laugh hardily when it finally drops to 199! I feel stronger every step I take. A friend says that the Disney Marathon is mentioned in the latest issue of Runner's world. He 's going to bring it for me. I did lose it a bit today. We had a potluck in our lounge for lunch. Had one eggsalad 1/2 sandwich and a 2 inch square piece of blueberry cheesecake. Everything else was okay. Didn't go back for 2nds!! Hope to get in a run tonight but it might get crazy with the teenagers. They have started track at school. Going to watch the Travel Channel/ Disney goodies on tonight. It is finally warming into the 50s but it is really grey today. Would love some sun. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
