Because we need another Crocs thread! Cute new styles

The Providence Journal had an article in last Sunday's paper about Crocs too. I just read the paper today. I'm a little slow sometimes.

I cut out the article and will be sending it to my sister since she thought I was a little nutty with my crocs and she was worried about how she'd like them since she has arch problems. They mention the Cloud and Relief models which are supposed to be for foot problems. I need to find those for my plantar fascitis.

I just ordered the Relief ones...I have a heal spur that really gets aggravated at DW :confused3 and pains me for months later...so I'm really hoping these do the trick.

I also ordered lime green Niles (cause they are cute).

I get them in 10 days..so I'll let you know. :goodvibes

Journeys.com has the black ballerina style in stock! I'm really thinking about ordering them!

The person I talked to on the phone at a local Journeys said they run smaller than traditional Crocs. At least he said that the 10 they had in stock 'looked smaller than a normal size 10'.

I haven't driven out yet to check them out in person. I will do that early this week and post what I find out here.

I've never liked the looks of Crocs but they're so light and seem like they would be comfortable. I'm going to check these out.

It's tax free week in Florida so now is a good time to buy!

What is the difference between the new Relief and the Professionals? I have the Professionals and I love them!

I really really dislike crocs (they feel funny) but I'd try the prima ballet ones. you could wear those with dressier clothes too.

Thanks a lot crocs - NOT--

I feel so discriminated against!! I just found out these styles arent for my big feet!! OK FINE, maybe that's why I like crocs, I could get cute colors for my boat feet!! Now they come out in cuter, narrower styles, but no, not for me... pirate:

BUMMER! We'll just have to keep watching for more Ballet shoes to arrive (and hopefully black will show up!)

I ordered the ballets for my DDs July 5th, and they were on back order through the first week of August. Would be nice if they arrived soon! I ought to check my order and see where it stands!

our L.L. Bean crocs just came in... I can't remember the real name of them. OMG are they ever comfortable... it feels like I'm walking on clouds!! :cloud9:

Professional:
closed top protects the foot and ribbed ventilation ports channel fluids away. looks good at the office, on a boat or peeking out from the bottom of your scrubs.

closed-top protection; ventilation ports on sides with ribs to channel fluids away from ports; stylish & functional; comfortable, cool, and molds to your feet; orthotic foot bed; slip-resistant and non-marking soles; anti-microbial and odor resistant; ergonomic italian styling; wide, roomy foot bed; made with croslite™ PCCR material; buoyant; weighs only ounces

Relief:
introducing the crocs rx relief. ultra soft sole provides a cushioning effect for plantar pain, heel pain, metatarsalgia, and generally achy feet; wide toe box is ideal for many post-op conditions, as well as, bunions.

podiatry comfort shoe
Shock absorbing sole relieves stress on feet, knees, hips and lower back; roomy fore foot provides comfortable fit with no pressure points, relieving bunions and other foot irregularities; anatomically designed sole provides comfortable relief from plantar fasciitis, heel bruises and other plantar injuries; side air portals keep feet cool and dry; style will accommodate an orthotic
Was previously only available with a prescription.

Can ask you Croc experts a question :) ?

I have the Airwalk (payless brand) "crocs" and I really like them. Is there that much of a difference between those and the genuine Crocs? Also, the Airwalks I have are a size 5. They seem to fit nicely but I do notice that if I wear them with the strap on the ankle and do a lot of walking they start to rub on the sides of my feet and create "hot spots" where blisters would start. This doesn't happen if I switch the strap to the front though. I'd like to wear these for WDW but I'm wondering now if maybe they are too small if they are rubbing like that? Any thoughts on what size I should try in a real Croc?

Thanks. :thumbsup2
I was wondering how different they feel. Are they softer? Has anyone tried them on? They look very similar.

I would go up a size. I have never tried the Airwalks, but the Walmart brand is awful. My crocs are very loose and even with the strap in the heel position, nothing is tight. The funny thing is, even with the crocs so loose, they will NOT fall off the foot with the strap in the heel position.

:furious: Drove over 50 miles round trip to my 'closest' Journeys - AFTER CALLING to verify they DID have the Prima Ballet - and they did NOT have them. They had the Mary Jane listed as a Prima Ballet in their stupid computer. :furious:
To top it off, DS was a horror the whole time - fell asleep on the last 10 minutes of the ride home - woke up at home - won't go back to sleep and is being a horror at home. I'm past :furious: now.

I love the Prima Ballet, I must find these for work!!!!

Anybody here have the plantar faschiitis surgery that wears crocs? I had surgery 7 years ago and have orthotics. Just wondering if post op people can give me any help.

They are so cute! They are even newer than the ones I saw in the Orlando Airport Croc store!

I opted not to have surgery, just "live with the pain and swelling" (Ie plantar fascia) much to my pod. chagrin, I'm sure, but I have worn the crocs, so much so I dont need my cane!! :goodvibes

I still get swelling if I walk for too long without breaks, I'll still need to put my feet up, but I like the crocs much better than my orthotics in the boots/shoes (for when I do serious camping/hiking) for WDW, it was crocs ALL The Way!!

:thumbsup2 from me - altho I did "break them in" by only wearing them for a few hours at a time, and increasing the time each day, now I live in crocs! (esp when I walk around at home!! :goodvibes )
