Because we need another Crocs thread! Cute new styles

:thumbsup2 from me - altho I did "break them in" by only wearing them for a few hours at a time, and increasing the time each day, now I live in crocs! (esp when I walk around at home!! :goodvibes )

When we were getting ready for our first trip to WDW, I walked an hour on the treadmill every night in a pair of shoes I'd be taking. By using it at the speed of a really brisk walk, I could not only get in shape for all the walking, but also see which shoes might cause me trouble...

:thumbsup2

(and the crocs never gave me trouble!)

I'm about to order some of the reliefs, now that I don't need the RX for them. Those and a pair of professionals...I'll report back on them.

The only thing I have found is that I can't wear them for 12-16 hours straight on the granite floors at work. Otherwise, the Plantar Faciitis bothers me.

Can anyone who has the Nile style verify if they run big or small? I wear a 7 1/2, slightly wide feet. Should I get a size 7 or 8? Has anyone seen them in a store? I live in CA and though they're hugely popular in other areas, Californians have been slow to catch on to the Crocs Craze.

I have a pair of Caymen and love them.

Thanks.

Prima shoes now available - or at least showing on the product page at

Crocs

I gave in and bought my first pair, the mary janes. I got them in black even though the pink was so cute.

If you're in a half size, go up. (so 8 would be better than 7 for you)
The shoes should fit a little lose. I have wide feet, and the crocs cayman fit me a little closer than 'they' say they should, but I've not had any problems with them.

ahh - just noticed you have the caymen also - I'd say order the same size.

For people who don't like the feel of 'swimming' in their shoes, check out the brand Nothinz. They are more narrow (my fat feet still fit them, but they're not as loose as crocs).

Update on my order

I ordered Relief and Niles (both styles not available in Calgary Canada) from the Croc website.

I ordered them July 23 and they arrived yesterday Aug 2...10 days as promised.

Now I have 16 days to break them in ...before we head down to the Happiest Place on Earth with my happy happy feet!

I'll keep you updated regarding the Reliefs and if they help with my heal spur.
(hoping...hoping..hoping) The only good thing about having a heal spur is that it usually is at it's worst because of visits to DW :thumbsup2

I went to Journeys today after spotting the new Crocs there yesterday. I tried on the Prima Ballet ones and they are comfy, but the shoe part doesn't come up very high so as I walked around, it kept slipping off my heel. I really loved that style, but it just wasn't easy to keep on.

I trie don the Mary Janes and really loved them. I bought them and am wearing them now. They're awesome!!

I was in Journeys today. I was standing near the cash register, trying on a pair of the Mary Janes (the Crocs display is on the wall behind the registers). A lady was checking out, and she asked the employee what that new style of Crocs was. He told her they were Mary Janes, and she said, with venom in her voice, "A new level of ugliness, that's what I call them!" Keep in mind, I'm standing 3 feet from her, trying on the same shoe she's speaking about so vehemently. I just laughed. :rotfl2:

How did the Prima fit size wise? I have Caymans and wear a 9. Do you think would I need to go up or stay the same? (I do have a wide foot)

I normally wear a size 7, so I tried on a size 6. It was comfy, but I would have liked to have tried on a 7 for comparison, but they were sold out. So I can't provide the best judgement on that. Also, I've never tried on anything other than the Primas and Mary Janes...so I can't do a good comparison on the Caymans. Sorry!! :(

To elaborate a bit on the Primas slipping off my heels...I've read several reviews online from people complaining about the same thing (I wanted to make sure I just wasn't some crazy person). Some even said they just exchange it for a different syle. I think the shoes themselves are adorable...but not easy to keep on.

My kids have the Prima Ballet style and they run fairly true to size. My DD17 wears a size 9 and the Prima/9 fits her perfectly. My DD12 who is growing like a weed, fits in the 9 as well. I need to exchange the 8 I ordered.

Okay I'm so glad you posted this thread! I have a question about the New Athens sandals. Has anyone worn them at Disney while walking all day? I just wonder how they equal up in support with regular athletic shoes. I would love to have a few pair but if they aren't going to give me support at Disney I don't want to.

Can anyone give me any advice?

I worn them at Disney all day. I love them and I will never wear anything but Athens to Disney again! They are awesome - and I mean that! However, it all depends on the person too. They gave me support and because my feet didn't hurt, other family members had to get them as well.

I wear a size 9 in the Crocs Professionals (8 1/2 to 9 in other shoes) and I bought the size 9 Prima's today (in black). So far, I LOVE them!!!

I've checked at my local Dillards and they didn't have them yet. Any idea when these'll be out? I hate to order them until I try them on.
