Because we need another Crocs thread! Cute new styles

There's supposed to be a lot of extra room.

From Crocs.com:

THE PERFECT CROCS™ FIT.

Crocs™ should not fit like other shoes:

They should fit very loosely.

The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe.

Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.

Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed:

You should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.

In other words the fit should be “loose”.

I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under.

No Pressure points Ever!

I also wear an 8 1/2, and my Caymans are a 9 - the fit is indeed loose, but comfortable. My Beaches are an 8-9, and they seem a little bit smaller than the Caymans. Also comfortable, just not quite as loose. I might actually like the Beach fit a little better, but they're both good.

I just ordered the LL Bean version of the beaches in purple for my daughter and navy for me!

Question for Croc wearers...I am an 8 1/2.

The 8's my 2 little toes next to the baby seem to be peeking through the holes..with the 9's there is a lot of extra room all over the shoe

What do you suggest, because I am really tempted to order the Reliefs on-line.

It feels funny at first, but I got used to it quite fast. Now I have a hard time wearing tight (normal) shoes. LOL

You'll have to let us know how they work for you. Some 'knock offs' are good (like Nothinz and Airwalk) and others are bad...

I have worn the Athens on several trips. They are very comfortable. They have the same foot bed as the Caymans. I didn't even bother to bring my sneakers with me on the last trip. Sneakers start to seem so heavy and restricting after a while.

I love the ballet slippers. I have to have them!!!

I too have the plantar fas. problem - and crocs saved me for sure!!

Someone asked about a style, and I too forget - if the athens is the one that was like a sandle, with the toes exposed, but not flip flop style - I have that - and I have ankles that "pronate" (ie 'turn in') where the strap comes on this style hits me right at that ankle spot, so I tend to get a blister if I wear them for long periods of time - my son has flat feet, he has "taken them over" and loves them!!

I have the flip flop style, and love them, they do provide the support in the heel bed I find necessary - - but I've not worn them for hours and hours, like at Disney.

I love the new style!!

(also I found my flip flop crocs at Sports Authority!)

Well... since this thread it here... I can post about how happy I am that my new Islanders arrived today!!! :cool1:

I bought some blue ones on vacation and fell in love with them. I figure this color will look great with my khaki capris on our upcoming WDW trip - only 18 days away!!! :woohoo:

I really want to try the Scutes but Dillards doesn't have them in women's sizes and the men's are too big. I want to try them on somewhere before I order them but I can't find them in any of the stores around here! I had to order my Islanders because VERY few places around here sell ANY Crocs and the ones that do only have the Beaches :sad2:

Hope everyone has fun with the new styles!!!

Athens is the flip flop
Nile is the one you described (at least I'm 98% certain...LOL)

Thanks for that info on crocs and plantar fascitis. At first I thought the crocs were the cause of my foot pain, since it started right around the same time I started wearing them. I have been wearing them the last couple of days because the pain was pretty bad again and wasn't sure if it was helping or hurting. Today my feet feel pretty good though, so it's probably been helping and I haven't realized it.

Looks like it may be time to invest in a pair of Athens too.

I've heard some people have hip and/or leg pain when they first wear them too because it is causing your legs/hips to realign correctly. (as opposed to the alignment they get from heels etc.)

Glad to hear your foot is starting to feel better! P.F. stinks big time!

I'm getting the Mary Janes!!! They are AWESOME! My local paper had a story about Crocs this weekend. I went to the mall to get Orange ones (to go with all of my Cleveland Browns gear). They only had one pair of the MJs, so I have to wait. They are getting more in this week.

Everyone thought I was nuts when I bought my first pair 2 years ago and now everyone wants them.

Ohh Ohh - when you get them, post a picture of them on feet! (Please!)

I know what I'm buying for work shoes this year! :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting. I wasn't sure what Crocs were. I thought this is what they were but wasn't positive. Annmarie

BUMMER! We'll just have to keep watching for more Ballet shoes to arrive (and hopefully black will show up!)

I was at a Journeys store yesterday, and they had both the Prima and the Mary Janes there. The sales girl said the MJs are exclusive to Journeys - anybody know if that's true? They only had a couple of pairs in a sort of an Army green, but they were still really cute.

Oh wow - I didn't realize Journeys was a physical store. LOL We have a ton of them in Denver area (according to their website).

I'm suprised they have the ballet slipper. I was told it was exclusive to Bloomingdales and Dillards and that the MJ was exclusive to Journeys and Nordstroms (by a Crocs employee).

How much more exciting that I might be able to try them on in person! (instead of a shot in the dark ordering online)

I had several couples come into my store last night and during session, we realized that out of 10 of us in the kitchen, 8 were wearing our crocs! One lady had the new Mary Janes-and I wanted to head right out to Journeys to get a pair.

We have granite floors at work, and that is the only thing that keeps me from wearing the crocs all the time. I have to switch to my orthotics and sneakers about twice a week-but that's a heck of a lot better than they felt before I was wearing them! Podiatrist loves that!

The Providence Journal had an article in last Sunday's paper about Crocs too. I just read the paper today. I'm a little slow sometimes.

I cut out the article and will be sending it to my sister since she thought I was a little nutty with my crocs and she was worried about how she'd like them since she has arch problems. They mention the Cloud and Relief models which are supposed to be for foot problems. I need to find those for my plantar fascitis.
