It's just not right for two 50 something couples (married 33 and 35 years) to be this excited about going to Disney World.... but we are!!!
My wife (Beauty), myself (Beast), my sister (Lady) and her husband (Tramp) have made the trip 3 times before (1993, 1995, and 2000) with our kids (all grown and married now) and now we're going to fulfill a long-time dream by experiencing Disney kidless!!!
We stayed off-site on our first trip and at moderate resorts the other two ( and loved them all) ...and drove (from Virginia) on all three. Not this time, baby!!! We're booked at the Polynesian Resort and have flight reservations (courtesy of frequent flyer miles) for April 18-22.
Here's our tentative schedule (subject to change with our periodic Disney planning meetings):
Wednesday (18th)
Arrive at Disney around 11:30 am and spend the early afternoon checking out the resort and late afternoon / evening at Magic Kingdom (can't break tradition...MK has to be first stop)
Thursday (19th)
MGM including Fantasmic Dinner Package (Dinner at Brown Derby)
Close down Magic Kingdom (Extra Magic Hour)
Friday (20th)
Epcot
Downtown Disney
Cirque du Soleil
Saturday (21st)
Animal Kingdom
Spirit of Aloha Luau at Poly
Sunday (22nd)
Boardwalk (Early lunch at ESPN Club)
Depart Disney @ 2:00 pm
By the way, using Small World Vacations (Cheryl) for all travel plans other than flights. Cheryl has been great!!!
