For years I have used salon products, someone once told me that the products in the stores (ex.walmart, meijer, etc.) were not good for your hair. That they had ingredients in them for shelf life, which actually harmed your hair. 
I've been looking for ways to cut back on our budget and that led me to thinking about my products. First, is that true about the products in the stores? Is there really a difference? Second, is there a product line from the stores anyone would recommend? Currently I use Paul Mitchell hairspray, Matrix Shampoo, Redken Guts (sometimes), Big & Sexy Volumizing hair gel and texture smoothing serum. My hair is fine and the ends always turn frizzy after blow drying.
If you have any recommendations/suggestions I'd love to hear them! Thanks!
