knovak said:A few years back the middle school youth group at our church collected and donated beanies to an organization called Beanies for Premiees - don't know if they still exist or not. They would somehow sterlize the beanies and then donate them to certain hospitals to put in with the premature babies.

HayGan said:I sent ours over to several of the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. The soldiers liek to carry them around to give to the children. These little gestures go along way in improving relations between the troops and the locals. Plus it means so much to child who has so littleI sent these in care packages that I sent to the troops that included stuff for them as well.
