Hello!

So on our trip in May, I was really looking forward to trying out both of these places seeing as I love ice cream, but it looks like we're only going to have time to visit one. If you had to pick one, which would you go to? Beaches and Cream or Ghirardelli?

My vote would be for Beaches & Cream. Ghirardelli is good, but in my opinion, B&C has a better selection, and better ice cream. Plus, they have the "kitchen sink" which can't be beat! I like the atmosphere of B&C better as well.

Ghirardelli. Better ice cream, more selection, more seating area. B&C does have the No Way Jose though.....

B&C has huge servings, but it is just Edy's ice cream.

Ghirardelli is a more premium product.

Ghirardelli is not on the dining plan. B&C is.

For the No Way Jose, I must vote for B&C. :thumbsup2

I would do Beaches and Cream, as Ghirardelli is a chain place and there is a chance you will be able to try it outside Orlando some other time. Beaches and Cream though is a unique experience you cannot replicate outside Disney.

Having been to both, I'd have to say Ghirardelli  The Gold Rush is delicious (hot fudge and melted peanut butter sundae). They have something similar to the Kitchen Sink.. I think it's called the earthquake. We've tried it at Ghirardelli before and it was REALLY good. I think the quality of the ice cream is better at Ghirardelli. Just my opinion! Either way, it's ice cream.. you can't really go wrong with either place!! :cool1:

B&C for sure. The one time we tried Ghirardelli we all got hot fudge sundaes. Each of us had such a tiny amount of hot fudge in our dish that it was like eating plain ice cream. It was a real rip-off, unfortunately.

Beaches and Cream...but then again, I'm addicted! I HAVE to go there whenever I'm in town! :thumbsup2

Sure you can, get a half gallon of Edy's at the grocery store, dump on a can of whipped cream and toppings of your choice. They use Edy's.
I think it is nice for the diner setting, but I find that to be a popular style for decor at a lot of places.

Wherever you pick will be fun though.

My fav is the hot fudge Sundae at Ghirardelli.

Beaches and Cream serves the exact same Edys ice cream as is sold all over WDW and is also available at a grocery store near you.

Not something to go out of your way for at all.

Ghirardelli, the ice cream is good but the colossal cookies are amazing!!!

Beaches and Cream for the No Way Jose, their sundaes are HUGE!! We always split it, and still can't finish it. mmmm, all that peanut butter sauce, oh so good.

Beaches and Cream ! Besides being good ice cream and food it's also a really fun experience. Ghiradelli's is a place that i enjoy going to, Beaches and Cream is a place I look forward to going to.
