Beach Towels?

Hi All-
I am wondering if anyone has done the iron-on transfers on white beach towels? I would like to do this for our family trip in june but dont know how the transfers will work on the terry cloth. any ideas?

From my experience it wouldn't work, but you could transfer it to regular cotton material and sew it to the towel instead. Just an idea.
