This is our first time staying at the Beach Club. I'd like to know a good room location for us since we have a toddler and will be traveling with another couple (also with a toddler).

We were spoiled at the Poly! We stayed in Samoa - the first corner room, ground floor. It was amazing. It felt we had a private entrance to the room (loved the automatic doors!), great location to the snack shack, monorail, pool, boats, etc... Any chance I can get a location like this at the Beach Club?

Also, do they offer patio rooms or balcony only? For the baby, the patio was ideal! He enjoyed crawling on the grass while I had my morning coffee.

Oh, speaking of coffee, does the Beach Club have the travel size mugs? Those at least fit in cupholders!

Anyone suggest a detailed website for the Beach Club. I loved Tikiman's site for the Poly. Anyone have something similar for the Beach Club??

Thanks in advance!
Mare

Our favorite is the Polynesian by far. As far as the Beach Club goes, there are a few schools of thought. We requested to stay as close as possible to Cape May (3 months in advance) because it was closer to the bus loop, the boat to MGM, the main pool and of course Cape May itself. They gave us a room near the quiet pool, about as far away from Cape May as possible. On the positive side, the quiet pool is much closer to EPCOT, the Boardwalk and the quiet pool. The walk to EPCOT from the quiet pool area is real short and very nice, and the quiet pool is probably better for a toddler anyway. We would have preferred to stay closer to Cape May, because there's much less walking. The Beach Club has probably the best location of any of the resorts at WDW. Next time, however we're going back home to the Polynesian.

Thsi is an older site but I don't think that should matter, I don't think the rooms have changed but after you click on this link http://www.angelfire.com/ar2/dtoo/ go to the bottom of the page and there are links for the hotels floor plans for each floor. We stayed on the 1st floor over in the 1500 area, at first I was not happy :sad2: with it because it felt like an endless maze of corridors to get to the room but it turned out to be the shortest route to Epcot :) . Also I don't know if you are looking for a view but I requested a water view and well I got a water view :boat: but it was of a quiet pool. To me that part was not worth the extra money. BTW, we had a patio room that we could step out and go right over to the pool. I don't remember any grass in that area. You may want to be closer to Stormalong Bay and the main building. Beach Club (like all the resorts) has it's pros and cons, it's nice to walk to Epcot and take the boat to MGM and Beaches and Cream is fun and Stormalong Bay is great and they have a sandy beach area. It's also nice being near the Boardwalk. If the adults have a chance to go out at night try going over to Jelly Rolls at Boardwalk, it's alot of fun.

Thanks for the site, it's very helpful.

Where is the Beach Club Marketplace located? That's there snack shop right? It would be nice to have a short walk for coffee!

No more??? Then where do you refill your mug and get quick munchies??? I have to have someplace to grab DS a snack and to get my morning coffee.

I think he meant he had "no more" to add.

The snack shop has all kinds of foods and clothes and stuff. You can get coffee at Cape May. These are all both off the lobby. If you're coming in the front doors, Cape May is to your right, and the shop is to the left.

I haven't been to the Beach Club for almost a year. I heard they took out part of the shot to create a "fast food" type deal, but don't know if this was completed.

Like all hotels, they assign the room based on what they have available when you check-in, so good luck. I've stayed there three times and never got a far-away room. They have full balcony rooms and mini (like 6") balcony rooms. My favorite rooms come with a view of the water and the Boardwalk. Dunno about patio w/grass.

Beach club is my favorite (Poly is second). Hope you love it!

Oh, okay. I'll try to request to be near the Marketplace then.

I also found out that the first floor has patios, not many with grass. I'd rather have a patio than a balcony with a toddler, one less thing to worry about. Plus, one less elevator ride!

I'm really not that picky, I'm not the type to let a room location ruin my vacation. As long as DH is in the main building, he's fine. He's more of a hotel guy than a resort guy. He likes everything under one roof. (Got caught in a rain storm while at the food court at PO-R and never heard the end of it! Our room was so far away in the mansions we had to wait until the rain stopped!)

Thanks for all your suggestions!
