Hi there...I know we can walk to Epcot and use the boat to MGM...but any recent experiences with buses to MK and AK? What is the average travel time...also what about if you are going to one of the resorts for a meal (WL or CR)? other boards are indicating 1- 1 1/2 hours for travel time...that sounds odd to me...any thoughts???

We were there at the end of May, specifically at the BC for 4 nights. We never took the bus to AK, although we saw several busses arriving for that destination one morning when we were waiting for a bus to the MK. Those busses seemed to take a while longer to arrive, but I'd still say they came around every 10-15 minutes. The only real problem we had with BC bus service was waiting one day at the MK for a bus back. We stood for about 30 minutes waiting for the bus to arrive. Several Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk busses came (probably 3) during that 30 minutes that we were waiting. This was around 2 or 3 in the afternoon so we weren't sure why it was taking so long. Also, the S/D/B busses often just drove right through because there was no one waiting for those busses.

I think personally it's hit or miss given any day/week/time of year. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Also, we only shared with YC and that (IMO) didn't affect the travel time or the seating - we were always able to get seats.

As for getting to WL or CR, just take a bus to MK and walk to CR (or take the monorail) for a meal there. That is very fast. And for WL you can take a bus to MK, then take the boat over to WL, or walk to CR and take the WL launch from there. I would say 1 hour travel time to WL, but about 20-40 minutes to CR, depending on if you get the bus/monorail right away or how fast you walk.

we were at the BC at the end of March and found the bus service good. There was only 1 morning when we waited about 20 mins for an MK bus to arrive. Every other morning the busses came within 5 mins of our arrival at the bus stop. Then the bus ride itself was about 15 mins to the MK, a bit more to the AK? Don't remember precisely but know it felt like it went pretty quickly. The waits to come back from the parks were also decent--I think we waited at MK once for 10 or 12 mins and that was the longest.

Can someone confirm who BC shares the buses with? Is it just Yacht Club...or does it also share with BW and Swan and Dolphin...that seems a bit much to me...thanks

When we were there in May it was only BC/YC. The Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk shared their own, separate bus.

We were at the BC 6/20 through 6/27 and never encountered any problems with the bus transportation.

I think the longest we ever waited was about 25 minutes. It felt longer only because we had been used to only a 5-10 minute wait.

Just back today!! HORIBLE experiences with the buses!!! We shared the bus from AK with Beach,Boardwalk,Swan and Dolphin!!!!!! 5 resorts one bus!!! We waited for two buses before we could get on one to get back to the hotel.(The buses would fill up!!)
That is the one thing I have to say I dislike about Yacht club is the buses!!! I think it would be fair for Yacht and beach to have their own buses. You pay 300 a night and share a bus with 5 resorts????

I agree! We had the same horrible bus experience in October. After stopping at all of the resorts, it took us 45 minutes to get to the Magic Kingdom. That is after getting on the bus, not including the time we had to wait for one to show up. We will never again stay at the Y&B without our own car.
