We are going to stay in Orlando for 2 nights in early December, after a 4-night DCL cruise. The Grand Floridian will cost $55 more per night than the Beach Club. Is the GF worth the extra money?

We have two kids, they'll be 11 (almost 12) and 14 when we travel. We love EPCOT and MGM, and probably won't go to the Magic Kingdom, except maybe for fireworks. The monorail would be convenient, but isn't EPCOT really close to the Beach Club? And, is there a way to get to MGM from the Beach Club by boat?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and opinions!

If ou're going to spend all your time at Epcot and MGM, then by all means book the Beach Club. It's a few minutes walk to Epcot, and a boat ride (or 10 minute walk) to MGM. The pool is outstanding, and there are a myriad dining options on the boardwalk.

I wouldn't spend the money at the GF unless (a) you're going to spend a lot of time at the MK; or (b) you're going to spend a lot of time at the hotel. If all you're doing is using your room to sleep or nap, then it's hard to justify the extra expense.

Beach Club.

Monorailing from GF takes a long time! For the extra money you get so so service and a longer comute the the parks you are intersted in and a definite downgrade in the pool!

Pool is great at BC.

We just got back for our vacation and I must say the Beach Club is fantastic! We were at the GF last year. We loved it! Had a view of the castle in a dormer room; it was just perfect, but the Beach Club totally surpassed our expectations!!! It is so close to Epcot, the rooms are beautiful, service is great, etc... I would stay there again in the second. I would say do the Beach Club. It is second only to the GF in my opinion, but its a close race.

This one is easy. Beach Club all the way. With the boat access to both MGM (main gate) and EPCOT (International Gateway) you'll be about a 5 - 10 minute boat ride to either. Enjoy the lazy river pool. My DW and I stayed there last August and are planning another trip to BC this summer.

:love2:
