Since we just got back from WDW a few weeks ago, I am of course plotting, er, planning our next trip, which is looking to be a two week stay next August. We are die hard Wliderness Lodge fans, but I got a glimpse of the pool at Beach Club, and we are considering either a split stay or just trying Beach Club for the whole two weeks...so...humour me, Beach Club fans...pretend you are a salesman on commision, and sell me the Beach Club!

You will be really close to Beaches N Cream! The best desserts in all of WDW!

Beach Club and the Wilderness Lodge are my two favorite resorts. We have stayed at both twice. Beach Club has the incredible advantage in that you can walk right into EPCOT. We spend a lot of time there when we stay at the BC. We even walked along the canal to the studios, although that was a hike. We love the Cape May character breakfast. Excellent buffet and character interaction. Beachs and Cream has wonderful desserts and a really fun atmosphere. They have refillable mug stations at 2 places that I know of(could be more I don't know). The pool area is like a mini water park or if you want something quieter you have the option of the quiet pool.I think you'll like it!

having stayed at both i would chose bc hands down! it is brighter and prettier. but i did like wl but bc is so nice and close to epcot and mgm plus there is just more to see and do over at the epcot resorts. we felt so isoloated at wl.

I stay at both WL and BC frequently. I like them both, but they are very different. As much as I like the coziness of the "cabin" feel at WL, BC is also a great resort.

At BC, I like having five resorts worth of dining and shopping at my fingertips (that No Way Jose is my favorite at B&C). I like having the option to walk or take the boat to Epcot and the Studios. I like sitting in the lounge chairs on the beach watching the sun go down. The Epcot resorts area always has something going on, so you never get bored. I prefer to be here when it's cooler outside - more conducive to walking to the parks and other resorts. There's not a lot of shade in the summer time. BC is a much lighter and brighter feel than WL. The rooms are typically larger than at WL, and some of them even come with a daybed in addition to the two queens. The only con of staying at BC is the balcony issue. If a full balcony is important to you, make sure you request one, and it should be either your first or only request.

I'm not big on public pools, so I don't use the resort pools much. That's never a deciding factor for me. Some people have posted that it's hard to keep track of kids old enough to use the slide at BC, because of the layout of the pool. But if you have really young ones, you can't beat the sandy bottom in part of the pool there. Both resorts have the surrey bikes and boats to rent.

Each resort has it's own strengths and BC is no exception. So long as you go into it without expecting it to be exactly like staying at WL, you'll have a great time.

We bounce between the two resorts, they are our favorites. Ok here's my sales pitch.

First, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Can't beat the BC for this. A hop and a skip from Epcot, a easy walk to MGM.
Second, So many food choices, so little time. You've got all of Broadwalk to eat your way through and if you some how get done there, when you walk over to Epcot, your right in World showcase with 50 restuarants. And last but not least. BEACHES AND CREAM. The ice cream alone gotta be worth the stay.
Lastly, Evening entertainment. So you've finally stumbled out of the parks but your still to high on pixie dust to go to bed. No worries, there are movies on the beach to watch, stromalong bay to hang out at or how about a surrey bike ride around the lake (Betcha can't make it up the hill between YC & the swan")

You'll love it!

We're heading back 11/6. Can't wait

We stay at the BWV - have stayed at the BC once, but let me say - We absoulutely LOVE staying at the Epcot resort area!

That being said, I think you need to figure out what parks you'll frequent most to determine where you'd be happiest staying. My family loves Epcot - which usually end the majority of our nights there. And it's so convenient to be able to just WALK back to our resort at closing time when the rest of the crowds are heading to the buses and monorail. We also like the option of walking to MGM. Then, there's the Boardwalk itself. We love to come back to the resort after the parks close and spend some time walking around - there's always alot of activity! And you have: the ESPN Zone; the Boardwalk Bakery; surrey rides; face painting; jugglers - really fun atmoshpere!

We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else - that's just my biased opinion!:thumbsup2
