Has anyone who has owned elsewhere try and get into the beach club at the 7 month mark? Off season weekdays, is it possible?

Possible. Studios are hardest to get. One bedrooms easiest. From the point F&W starts until the marathon is run in January is difficult for any room. We've booked a two bedroom at the tail end of August at seven months once, but it was eight years ago now and a lot changes over that period of time. And everything is really screwed up right now - lots of points in the system, but also lots of late cancellations, so strange things are happening - and not happening.

Depends - what size unit, what do you consider off season and are you talking right now or later when things return to ‘normal’.

Only time I have seen availability at 7m was when the park had been closed a while like this past may/June , but even in March and April with the pandemic that was spiking in some areas, there was only one bedrooms here and there.. def no studios

Yes. I have gotten it several times...studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom. Most we’re only 2 to 3 nights as part of split stay.

I even got a 1 bedroom there for end of October today...switched in from BWV...of course, this is an unusual time!

If you are flexible, it’s possible.

I’ve seen it a couple of times for 1BR but I know it’s rare. Last year for 3 nights in early September (before the formation of Dorian). And, a couple of nights in June a little while back. I’ve booked it both times out of shock and FOMO. It’s still the only resort we haven’t stayed at because we cancelled both times.

I was able to get a 2 bedroom right at the 7 month mark in Jan of this year. I did reserve it right when it opened at 8am. Supposed ro be there now actually but cancelled this trip due to the pandemic ☹️

Skierpete's charts are well worth studying.

We've been able to switch into BCV 2BR dedicated, in late January 2019 and 2020 (after marathon weekend). All room types fill well before the 7 month mark for marathon weekend.

Studio and asking for when things go back to normal.

Outside of the Covid period, DVC off-season at WDW has differed substantially from Disney Hotel off-season. In the past, DVC's high to extremely high demand season has been late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan, when studios at BCV are essentially impossible to get at 7-months out..

The rest of the year is the low to moderate season, during which the two highest demand times are the Princess Half marathon weekend in Feb and the Star Wars Race weekend in April, weekends during which studios almost everywhere at WDW can be gone before 7 months out.. The DVC "off-season," if you mean the lowest demand times of the year, have been Feb 1 to the Thurs before President's Day, the Monday after Princess weekend in Feb to about March 10, the last week of April, and July 7-31. It is during those times that you may have a real chance at BCV although even during those times the studios have a risk of filling at least for part of any week before 7-months out.

This is just a weird time asking, everything is crazy. This morning I just got a Value 1 bed at Jambo for an entire week at the 7 month mark! At the same time, I put in a WL for Beach Club studio last night for 3 nights in November and got it! It's going to be weird for the next year or so......

I had a 2 bedroom booked for a week this past July- booked right at the 7 month mark. It killed me to cancel. Like others said, now is just a weird time with booking; was able to get a studio booked for a weekend in November.

In the past I have had success getting a BCV studio @ 7 months, but it's gotten harder each year. 1BR's are not too difficult to get there.

Yeah, I recently fluked into 5 nights in a value studio in November (I think I put the waitlist in at the 5 month mark). :)

I walked a BCV 2 bedroom at 7 months to a popular Spring Break week. It was a risk, but it worked. I got blocked once, but I was able to pick up the walk the next day by getting on RIGHT at 8 a.m. Unfortunately, I ended up having to cancel because of Covid.

Agree! In the past BC was attainable at the seven month mark, but the past few years I haven't been able to get it. We usually try for a 2br in mid May to early June and even that is hard to get now. But, as it turns out under current circumstances I have one booked for this October for seven nights which would never happen in a normal world at seven month mark.

Yeah, that would be crazy talk! I'm hoping to stay at BCV next summer for 4 nights booking at 7 months, but I am hopeful I will get a 1BR there.

Off season for DVC is a very short time. Maybe early May, early August, Early Sept but not Labor Day (so not many days). Mid-Sept to mid-Jan is the busiest time of the year with early Dec the top busiest time. Holiday, holiday weekends, Run Disney events are busy.
