So, we are sailing shortly with some friends. My friend called me tonight and told me that there was a problem with her on line check in even though we both received emails that our check in was complete and we received a port arrival time and a boarding group. Well, I went to check my on line check in and it says incomplete. My husband’s information is completely gone. I called DCL, they told me that they didn’t know why the information was removed, i would need to call back tomorrow when the people who review the documents and photos are in the office. They also said I would have received an email telling me the problem. I did not receive an email at all. She told me to just re-upload the photo passport photo and complete the online check in again. I questioned why I would just re-upload the same information not knowing what the problem is? Shouldn’t someone let me know the problem. So, she told me I needed to call back during regular business hours. I asked her if this would give me a new boarding group and port arrival time and she said yes!! So frustrated!

We just sailed 3 weeks ago and did not have this problem. I have discovered that there are others in or facebook group who are having the same Issue.

So, I guess the message is - Do not assume just because you got an email that your check in is complete. Apparently, it may not be.

The lady I talked to at DCL just told me to take my original emails with the original boarding group and port arrival time with me to the port. Hopefully, they won’t give me a problem.

Disney’s technology has always been a challenge to navigate and its quite frustrating. Especially, when you stay up til Midnight to complete your check in only to discover its not complete two weeks later.
 
thanks! will do.. traveling has gotten so much more complicated lately. I feel bad for older people. My mom who is sailing with me even said what do people do without smart phones. I had to create an email for her for the safe travels... its crazy.
 
well good thing I checked my mom is listed as US citizen, though she is not.. not sure if I made that mistake and you can only change by calling.. great.
 
I had that happen once (2018) and when I reentered the info it reset my boarding time to hours later. I was told not to worry though as we were booked on a Disney bus from the airport at 10. BUT - they made us wait until our "new" boarding group was called. It was so frustrating and did not start the cruise off on a good note. Disney IT needs work for sure.
 

That happened with someone else a month or so back and when they completed the 'new' check in they were given a new Port Arrival Time. But they were able to use their old barcodes and check in at their original time with no problem. You should be ok!

So our check in automatically said US citizen and wouldn’t allow us to change it. I uploaded our European passports anyway so that I could complete check in and get a PAT. Our TA called the next working day and they changed our citizenship but gave no other instructions. I logged in to check everything and our passport photos and information had disappeared and it showed incomplete. So I have now uploaded our permanent residence cards(there was no option to do this when it insisted we were US citizens) and it’s back to pending review.

So I just spoke with Disney and they changed my mom to German citizenship and was basically told that Disney actually goes through and mamnually checks everything. Which totally surprises me because you figure that’s not really automating things. She stressed say that if I were to get a email showing something was not excepted or if it still shows pending I am still just show up at the port and just bring everything. The same thing with safe passage that still shows pending to bring my vaccination card or documents. So in a nutshell the status of your online check-in and safe passage Please no role in if you are allowed to embark or not. They will still have a manual check in process in this case. To get to this point though you first do your Covid test

We were actually laughing on the phone because I then asked her do people actually show up and not bring any paperwork or documentation? And she’s like yeah you’d be surprised. I am baffled I mean who the heck travels nowadays without still bringing back up copies or paperwork?
