So, we are sailing shortly with some friends. My friend called me tonight and told me that there was a problem with her on line check in even though we both received emails that our check in was complete and we received a port arrival time and a boarding group. Well, I went to check my on line check in and it says incomplete. My husband’s information is completely gone. I called DCL, they told me that they didn’t know why the information was removed, i would need to call back tomorrow when the people who review the documents and photos are in the office. They also said I would have received an email telling me the problem. I did not receive an email at all. She told me to just re-upload the photo passport photo and complete the online check in again. I questioned why I would just re-upload the same information not knowing what the problem is? Shouldn’t someone let me know the problem. So, she told me I needed to call back during regular business hours. I asked her if this would give me a new boarding group and port arrival time and she said yes!! So frustrated!
We just sailed 3 weeks ago and did not have this problem. I have discovered that there are others in or facebook group who are having the same Issue.
So, I guess the message is - Do not assume just because you got an email that your check in is complete. Apparently, it may not be.
The lady I talked to at DCL just told me to take my original emails with the original boarding group and port arrival time with me to the port. Hopefully, they won’t give me a problem.
Disney’s technology has always been a challenge to navigate and its quite frustrating. Especially, when you stay up til Midnight to complete your check in only to discover its not complete two weeks later.
